Hello, Friend!

Hi, Friends......

I'm here with a card for the MFP Sketch with a Twist with the twist of Polka DotsI was determined to use up some of the scraps from recent projects and it so happened that I had this Glitz Vintage Blue polka dot paper still on my craft table from this card.  Perfect!

Here's the sketch we were given:

And here's my card:

I love the DCWV  Stardust paper I used for the background.  It has gorgeous gold foil that I echoed with the metallic orange and gold sequins in the center of the Petaloo flower.  I got the idea of clustering sequins from this elegant card by Amy Kolling.  Her sequins are beautifully and carefully arranged, instead of the more informal look I used for this card.

The greeting stamp is from the Technique Tuesday - I Like You set I won recently from PaperCrafts and Scrapbooking.  (THANKS, PC&S!!)  I heat-embossed it in white on Coredinations metallic gold cardstock.   Isn't the scripty "hello" delightful??!!  Not 100% sure, but that might be Ali Edwards' handwriting.  It doesn't bear her signature on the package, but it looks like her work.

Here's an angled shot so you can see all the metallic gleam.  Yum!!!!  The banners are from thrift store velveteen ribbon.  The soft matte finish of it is a nice contrast to the shine.

I am really loving how this card turned out.  I think I am ready for autumn colors and cards.......and cooler weather!!!!  :)

Hehehe....yah, the ladies' room, right? At the little church we attend, they finally dispensed with a men and women designation......now it is "Women" and "Restroom". Girls can use either. Yay!!! :D
