Hi, Friends.....

We were at a wedding this weekend......outdoors in October in North Central Idaho!  We were all told to dress warm and casual and bring an umbrella.  Fortunately, there were only a few sprinkles and a couple of claps of thunder during the ceremony.  The weather could have been sooooooo much worse!  The bride was lovely and the riverside venue was scenic.

I was going to use a wedding card I had made previously to give to the happy couple, but decided at the last minute to play with more of my Graphic 45 stash and make a card for their special day.

I used pieces from several Graphic 45 collections: wedding images from the June page of Place in Time, and other plain and printed pieces from Come Away With Me and Artisan Style. I put Distress Ink in Walnut Stain on the edges of the pieces and I layered a bunch of Prima flowers and put pearl center in each one.

Incidentally, these flowers are my very favorites for layering. I order the big tube of the Prima - Wildflower Mix from JoAnn.com. They advertise it as 72 flowers....but you get waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than 72 in all colors, sizes, and varieties. When JoAnn.com has them on sale, it is the best deal on flowers I have found!!! They also carry the Prima Wildflower Mix in White which might actually have around 72 flowers in it...since they are consistently larger than many of the ones in the mixed tube.  The mixed tube has a lot of tiny flowers that are esp great for layering and which I love for contrasting centers.  Each tube is different, and I occasionally recognize some of the pieces from other Prima flower packages I have ordered before, so I am guessing it is a mix of the ends of runs at the flower-making factory offered in a "bulk" tube at a discount price...and perfect for crafters!  :)
Hope you enjoyed seeing the card.  I will busy over the next week getting cards made for the Cat Lovers Hop...so you won't see too much of me.  Be sure to look at the 2016 CAT LOVERS HOP --- GUIDELINES and FAQ page so you know how to be getting ready for the hop.  Also, don't forget the GIVEAWAY going on right now through Oct. 23 to help publicize the hop!!

Thank you for all your support and encouragement!!!!
