Eat, Drink, and Be Merry

********************************

Don't miss my GIVEAWAY HERE

on my

30 Cats in 30 Years post!!!

********************************

Hi, Friends........

It's Christmas in July over at Jo's Christmas Kickstart! Actually, it's ALWAYS Christmas on that challenge blog....hehe...but this time her theme is Your Hot Beverage of Choice. She just put this challenge up, so you have lots of time to join us!!!

I used a couple of neglected supplies to make a card duo. I had this fun Christmas cocoa tissue gift wrap in my Coffee/Tea/Cocoa stash. I can't remember if I snagged it out of a package of assorted tissue or upcycled it from a gift.....but I think it is super-cute. I decoupaged it onto cardstock for making cards. :)

The other is a neglected stamp set, retired and part of a long-ago prize from Simon Says Stamp, called "Cheers!". It has a champagne-type theme....(which isn't exactly my "cup of tea", if you get what I mean! LOL)....so it tends to not get used. I got it out hoping to make use of some of the sentiments during Christmas in July. I didn't want to hide any of the fun background on these cards, so I stamped and heat-embossed my sentiments on vellum. The frosty translucent look of vellum coordinates perfectly with the gray background of the printed tissue.

Supplies used include:
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set
Vellum from stash
Simon Says Stamp - Kelly Purkey "Cheers" (retired)
Versamark ink
WOW! Embossing Powder - Opaque Bright White Regular
Christmas gift wrap tissue
Mod Podge - Matte Finish
DCWV scraps of cardstock
Star and round confetti from stash

Ho-ho-hope you enjoyed this pair of cards and that you will join the fun over at Jo's Christmas Kickstart. Thanks so much for stopping by today.

🖤
Janis

  3. These are gorgeous, Janis! Thanks so much for your continued support. Your embossing on vellum looks amazing. I always find it really hard to stop the vellum warping, but you've done a fabby job and no mistake. Just noticed your badge for the next Cat Lovers Hop - I'll be there! Thanks for playing at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge, Jo x
