Quilted Mother's Day

Hi, Friends.......

While it is still May, I will share a Mother's Day card that my pastor had requested for his mom who is a quilter.  I happened to have recently received this lovely quilt stamp set as a prize from Mary at Cardz-TV (THANKS, Mary!!!)......which was perfect for the card.  The sentiment is from a Unity grab bag.  In true quilting tradition, this card is made largely from scraps.  The dry embossing gives it a quilted look.

Products used include:
Cardz-TV - Quilted with Love stamp set
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Stitched Square STAX die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Versafine Ink in Smokey Gray
Unity sentiment from Sadie Girl {a mama's heart}
Scraps from my stash
Darice - Interlocking Circles
Love the clean crisp lines of this card and the homey quilted texture. Hope you like it, too! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your nice comments!!

  2. I do love quilt cards and have a few dies myself. This one is a beauty - you picked just the right papers to work with. Unfortunately at Penny Black & More the focal point of the card must be stamped and so I don't think this qualifies. Thanks so much for sharing with us.

    1. Actually that pieced quilt star is entirely stamped and hand cut out....no dies. You can't see the stamped outlines on the inner pieces in the photo very well, but surely you can see the stamped faux stitching of the outer star design.

  7. Fabulous Janis! You have so much patience - and the sentiment is so perfect too. A lovely card, All the more so as you didn't use a die for the quilting - sheesh!
