Hi, Friends.....
I am back with my other Molten Christmas card, this time in bright sparkly pink for a non-traditional look.
I used the same technique I detailed in my last post here....and the same dies from Clearly Besotted.
One thing I like to do on Christmas cards (that I don't usually do much other times of year) is to mix silver and gold. At Christmas, I feel like I can go all out with glitter, metal, sparkle and shine, so I encourage you also not to hesitate to mix metals for a super-elegant look. The dies I used (Christmas Tree Die and Modern Christmas Die) were lovely prizes from Clearly Besotted.
Here's a close-up of my molten background. The silver I used is not a super-white silver, so I think it goes well with the gold. Several layers of heat-embossing with the silver really brings out the snowflake pattern of this Darice Snowflake Swirl dry embossing.
I mounted everything on a pre-made silvery card base. Do you like the non-traditional colors? I like the nice change they make from the usual red and green, which I also love!! lol...
Thanks for stopping by!! I appreciate all the nice comments I have received today on my first foray into digis. I still prefer the old school red rubber or clear stamps, but I did have a lot of fun with that coffee project.

WOW Janis!! These last 2 cards with your molten EP technique are out of this world! Love the embossing (both kinds!) and the gorgeous die cuts. Yes, that antique silver EP goes perfectly with the gold swirl and your mix of silver and gold are exquisite! You have outdone yourself with the non-traditional holiday card!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Karen!! I appreciate your enthusiastic support!!! Glad you like the silver and gold together, too. It seemed to go well here.
