Friends with Flair - Imagine. Dream. Fly.
"Cats seem a bridge to a world beyond the one we know."
------------------Lynn Hollyn
Hi, Friends.....
I am back with my second Unity - Friends with Flair card for this week. I pulled out my Unity Itty Bitty set called Feather Flight. I had previously cut the feathers apart and for this project used only one of them.
I have a plastic index card file box on my craft table stuffed full of different backgrounds from previous experiments (ahem..). I pulled this pretty one out that I'd never used from my Whipped Cream technique cards! (It was supposed to be shaving cream, but I didn't have any, so I improvised with spray whipped cream!! lol... )
I stamped the feathers with Memento - London Fog, including some second generation ones. The sentiment is in Memento - Tuxedo Black. I mounted the front panel onto blue cardstock and then onto white. Iridescent sequins scattered about were all that was needed to top off the card. I hope you like it!
I am also playing along in the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge:
Thanks for all your wonderful comments. Have a lovely weekend!!

I never used whipped cream on a card. Interesting results. I have wanted to do the shaving cream technique but just haven't got to that yet.
ReplyDeleteThat shaving cream technique is a lot of fun....and it made it all the more fun to spray whipped cream all over the place. lol.... Thanks for stopping by!!

Lovely feather card and too funny that it worked with whipped cream.

Great effect but I can think of much better uses for whipped cream. Most of them involve cakes! Love the abstract look to this card and the floaty feathers. Hugz
ReplyDeleteYes, well it was a real sacrifice using my spray whipped cream for a card technique, but sometimes you have to take one for the team, right? Ha!!! Thanks so much for your encouraging comment!!!

This is gorgeous and the ethereal background combined with the feather images makes for a spectacular design. I keep pledging to learn some new techniques this year but all I have to do is follow your blog while you try them all ....and then copy you! So my one question is, how did you resist licking the whipped cream off the paper? Ha!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! With all the distress inks I put in the whipped cream, I wasn't overly tempted to eat any. Besides, it likely would have left a more tenacious "mustache" than drinking Kool-Aid!! That would have been a bit difficult to explain.... Ha.

Oh, how pretty. Love the shaving cream technique on the background with the pretty feathers. Thank you for playing along with us at the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much, Monika!! Sometime I might have to buy an inexpensive can of shaving cream just for doing this technique!! :)
