HEY, EVERYONE: Don't miss my 100-Follower Giveaway!!!
**************************************************************
Hi, Friends.....
Did somebody say "chocolate"???? LOVE it...especially milk chocolate! Oh, yum!!! When I saw the current Words 2 Scrap By challenge theme of "A Friend with Chocolate", I knew I had the perfect DCWV scraps for it!!
I used my circle punch on this patterned paper of the luscious box of chocolates and framed it with a doily. I backed it with another scrap from my stash and put the little pre-made diecut border on it.
When it came to the sentiment, I pulled out one of my brand-new Just-Rite sets. Their online store was closing and everything was on deep discount! This is from the Filigree Journal Covers set. I was totally delighted to find that this gorgeous Gratitude stamp fit perfectly inside the frames from one of my old Clear Dollar Stamps sets. Isn't it wonderful when that happens??!! I hardly ever use this little set of frames, but I sure will now!!! :)
Other supplies used:
Versafine Ink - Vintage Sepia
Clear embossing powder
Core'dinations cardstock
Decorative scallop scissors
Distress Ink - Antique Linen
Hope you liked my yummy card. Thanks so much for stopping in!!!

I really like how you put this fun card together! The yummy chocolates take center stage, but the doily and sentiment both look so pretty too! I love the kitty/thin mints pic too......so funny :) Good luck with the W2SB challenge!
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous and Yummy at the same time.........Lis
ReplyDeleteYum!! Great buy at the dollar store! Wonderful card design!
ReplyDeleteThat Thin Mints kitty poster made me laugh so loud I woke my poor husband up and he's way upstairs in the other room!! Not that I don't absolutely love your cards but those cat posters and cartoons make my day! So...on to the card. YUMMY~ what a great way to use that photo-realistic paper from DCWV and I am really impressed with how wonderful those punched circles look with the doilies. The vintage-style font works perfectly with the old fashioned doily and you've inspired me to pull out some of my old frame stamps to see which sentiments fit. I keep scrolling up the page to take another look at this card and those chocolates, and I'm not even hungry!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful paper. Thanks for joining us at CHNS patterned Paper Challenge this month.
ReplyDeleteJanis,
ReplyDeleteI'm with Karen. That thin-mint kitty was just hysterically funny!
Your card is so pretty. All of your bargain elements came together beautifully. Love how the doily complements that yummy piece of white chocolate and your sentiment.
