BONUS POST: 2016 CAT LOVERS HOP -- too funny not to share!!

Hi, Friends......

It is the wee hours of the morning and I am trying to get my Day 4 post blogged.  I was going to include a pic of Skippyjon "helping" me color my Newton's Nook card....so I started looking at a bunch of the epic fails on "selfies" I took.  I got laughing so hard I decided to share them with you in all their horrible out-of-focus glory!!!  Enjoy!

My son is gone for a few days and Skippy is at loose ends without him.  Guess who is under deadline on blog posts and has to contend with this little handful?!!  The first ones are of Skippyjon trying to play with my Prismacolor pencil while I am trying to color today's card!

Who, me????
Then.....Skippy jumped onto my lap and was climbing all over my shoulders and back while I was trying to color.  I thought it best to stop coloring for a few minutes....so I grabbed my camera.  That's when the fun began!  Just when I thought he'd stay on my shoulder, he'd climb down the front of me!

Here's the Crazy Cat Lady in all her crafting room glory!!!  This photo perfectly captures my frantic attempt to stay ahead of these blog hop posts and my dismay at Skippyjon potentially walking over half-made cards!!!  Hahahahahaha!!!  This is the one that inspired this crazy post!

"I've still got HOW many cards to make for the hop??????"

Here I am looking a little more composed.....with my hair being unruly and half a cat in the pic.  Still forgot to smile.  But this is what I look like, in case you all wondered!   Look at those nice stacks of paper on the left. :)  You can see my "photography shelf" above the stacks....with yesterday's card still sitting there.  Don't look at the rest of the shelves!  Eeek!  Do you like my pink dollar store reading glasses???  :)

 Got the tail this time.....

Got Skippy's face and half of mine.  At least I am smiling in the half of my face that I managed to get.  How in the world can you tell where to aim on selfies?????

He's stalking the camera strap.  I better stop.

Hope you had fun seeing these.......now back to working on my Day 4 post!!!

  4. Hahahaha - really very funny. Cats are so amazing but they can be a pain in the butt at certain times. The selfies gave me such a chuckle. How wonderfully organised your 'stash' looks - I'd love to come and have a browse through :-D

  5. I know how that is...my male cat Casio loves to bite my Copics when I am coloring or walk on my project.

  6. Hilarious post! What is it about coloring that brings a cat running in for attention? Goliath does the same thing but then gives me a nip if I ignore him too long. (after sending my Copics flying) Great pix. Selfies are a hoot. So hard to take. You've gotten some fun ones. Thanks for sharing. xxD dlmundinger(at)yahoo(dot)com USA

  8. What fun!! You know you loved the break!! : ) What gorgeous markings Skippyjon has! Nice to have finally met you. Your glasses are fine! If, however, you ever get bored with them, or want to get another $1 pair to play with, you might find this post of interest: https://acolorfuljourney.com/turn-boring-reading-glasses-work-art/ I liked how hers turned out and bookmarked it in case my real glasses get to looking crummy. I've also seen some decorated real cool with Washi tape. I hear you on the frustration with keeping up on posting for the hop! I think after the hop I'll make a goal of doing one a month and typing up a rough draft to save for the next hop (there IS going to be a next hop, right?!! : ) ) (USA - dcomer1 gmail)

  10. OH my gosh! This is too funny! Cats are very helpful in the craft room. My Cindy Siamese loves to climb up on the back of my chair and shoulders. One day when I was leaning forward coloring she climbed on top of my head. Only she was facing the opposite way as me, so there I was hunched over my desk with a cat on my head and a tail in my face.

  18. Oh my, I should have read this post during the day and not when hubby is fast asleep, because I'm pretty sure my laugh woke him up! Selfies are a pox on this earth and I've never had one that didn't made me look like I walked into the photo by mistake. However, I have to say that I've never gone so far as to pose with the back end of a cat in any of mine, haha! Love that you shared your panicky, frazzled expression...complete with blurry cat accessory. And of course, the fact that it's his rear and not his face, makes it even better! I have only one decent photo of a cat to my name, and many many dozens of terrible blurred poses. One shot has my hand around our poor Bubby's neck as I tried to get him to stand still for a photo. At least you don't have one of those!

  21. LOL...Skippyjon looks like a typical kitten...into everything! What a cutie, and a handful he is. What fun to see all the blurry selfies and crafty antics going on behind the scenes of the Cat Lovers Hop! Your glasses are just mahvelous and it was fun to get a peek at your shelves full of paper too!
