Hi, Friends......
I am here with a pretty card to honor a wonderful lady: Di Wray. As many of you already know, Di is the wonderfully entertaining hostess over at Pixie's Snippets Playground where she recently celebrated 7 years of Playground Fun as she encourages us to use the snippets in our stash.
The Playground is one of my favorite challenges because I have a ton of scraps (or snippets, as they are more charmingly known in the UK) and I love finding ways to use them. Di showcases a fabulous prize each fortnight with a beautiful card of her own making. Most of these prizes are generously provided by Di, herself, and posted all over the world. WOW! I have been on the receiving end of a number of these sweet gifts.....and some of them are among my most used stamps and dies!
Our dear blogging friend, Darnell, at djkardkreations masterminded a Thank You, Di, Blog Hop to honor and thank Di for all her kindness and generosity.
(I'm not quite sure where or whether to put commas in the "Thank You, Di, Blog Hop". Just between you and me, I don't think Darnell knows, either. Her blog post is titled: "Thank You DI Blog Hop". I always thought "DI" stood for Disability Insurance....which I might need if I try to do much actual HOPPING!! Hey, at my age...I might be nearly as thankful for some DI as I am for dear Di!!!)

ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I burst out laughing at the doggy spa day photo - I just showed Len and he thinks it's brilliant too! Many thanks for your wonderfully kind words and for joining in the blog hop so sweetly organised by Darnell - as well as this amazing snippets card. I love the colours with the pop of gold - perfect! And of course it's super use of snippets as well.
The blog hop was such a surprise. I really feel so blessed to have such lovely friends.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful snippets thank you card, Janis! DI will love it, lol! As for "just between you and me," did you really think I wouldn't read this, haha! The truth is the capital I on Di was a typo, but by the time I noticed it, I had already sent out that permalink to like 60 people and I didn't want them all confused by sending them another one over such a small thing. I really hated it when I saw what I had done. A lot of crafters use DI for Distress Inks so that's what I thought of! As for commas, like you I was taught to always put commas before and after names, but then I spent 45 years working for lawyers and they don't use that rule. Their bible for such things is the Greg Reference Manual, which I had to study to become a California Certified Legal Secretary. The thinking is it would just make briefs be nothing but commas because of all the names used throughout! So there you go! Thank you so much for joining in the thank you Hop for our Miss Di!
