Happy Easter - Winnie & Walter Color Challenge

Hi, Friends....

I am here with another fun card for the Winnie & Winnie March Color Combo Challenge.  Heather gave us the prettiest palette to use this time:

My card uses the "positive" die cut that was left after I made THIS shaker card. I covered it with Glossy Accents and layered it over my "Easter eggs".....which are actually cut with the Winnie & Walter - Big Balloon Cutaways die set. Hey, I can't help it that I saw eggs in those balloon dies!  It made me want to stencil Easter eggs......so here I am. :)
(My backyard flock of chickens is really going gung ho with their spring laying right now, so I guess I have eggs on my mind!! My hens are mostly blue/green layers.  The eggs are naturally colored, but not naturally stenciled. Breeders need to work on that next! Ha.)

I think W&W has a sentiment that says Easter in their collection, but I don't have it...so I had to use one out of my stash. I dry embossed a pretty floral background. Love how playful and colorful this turned out.

Supplies used include:
Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Happy Cutaway die
Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Peeled Paint
Ranger - Glossy Accents
Winnie & Walter - Big Balloon Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - Scenery: Big Bang Classic Star Creative Screenings
Winnie & Walter - Scenery: Buffalo Check Creative Screenings
Winnie & Walter - Scenery: The Leaf Effect Creative Screenings
Easter sentiment stamp from stash
Clear embossing powder from stash Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set
QuicKutz - Flowers 1 Embossing Folder (retired)
Canson - Mixed Media Paper Spiral Bound Notebook
Core'dinations/Darice solid cardstock

Hope you liked my fun Easter card. I usually make more faith-based Easter cards....and this one will have that on the inside.....but I enjoyed getting creative with these pretty eggs. Thank you for stopping by.

  6. Very cute! Love the bright colors and the fun pattern on the eggs! And genius idea to use the balloon die to create these eggs; they look perfect! We just got a new batch of baby chicks and I think some of them are supposed to lay blue/green eggs. It will be fun if they do, we've only had brown to date. Thanks for playing with The House That Stamps Built.

  8. Oh my goodness, how clever are you to use balloon dies for Easter eggs. That alone was enough to set my brain aquiver, but then I saw the stenciling and my mind exploded! You are definitely on your game this month and I'm busily tucking these fun techniques and ideas away to scraplift.

  9. I like how you used balloon dies to make eggs. I like that I don't have to dye eggs--ours are blue/green too.
