Happy Everything Shaker

Hi, Friends.......

I am here with another card for the Winnie & Winnie March Color Combo Challenge. I just love this palette that Heather chose for us. Of course it helps that it has pink and purple in it....two of my faves!!! :)

I made two smooshed and swiped backgrounds. One of them I used in THIS card....and I die cut this one to use the HAPPY on a card. Oh, dear.....I got side-tracked by how pretty the negative was and *had* to make a shaker!! lol.... I used beads and sequins for my shaker mix and it makes just the most satisfying rattling sound with all those beads rolling around....lots more noise than just sequins! (Hey, if I am going to make a shaker, I want it to make an impression!!! Ha. )

Supplies used include:
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Happy Cutaway die
Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Happy stamp set
Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Peeled Paint
Canson - Mixed Media Paper Spiral Bound Notebook
Core'dinations/Darice solid cardstock
Acetate from stash
Sequins and Beads-2-Fuse beads for shaker mix from my stash

Hope you liked my shaker with these pretty spring colors!! Thank you for stopping by. I still have the "positive" HAPPY die cut to use.....so I will be back later when I finish that card.

  1. Love the card. Gotta get myself in gear and use these lovely colours. I'm laughing at the spring kitten picture. Our cat came over the garden gate this morning and she jumped from the ground and landed on the top of the gate with her back feet. Her front feet didn't touch, they were held kangaroo style in front of her. I'm wondering if she had misjudged the strength of her spring. It looked so strange to see her jump and briefly stand on her back feet on the gate before hopping down. So spring kitten picture is perfect for me today. Hugz

  11. BEAUTIFUL artsy card design and a fun shaker element. Shaker cards still give me the willies so I'll leave them up to more adventurous crafters, such as yourself. The negative word die cut is even more interesting than the positive image, and is really highlighted in this creative design.
