Bare Footin'

Hi, Friends.......

I have another sunny summery card for you today. I found these fabulous little flip-flop embellishments at my local thrift store and have been wanting to make this very card for a long time. Well.....summer is here and so I finally got it made! :)

I had to resist the temptation to line the flip-flops all up in a nice tidy row at the bottom of my card. But I decided that I wanted a casual, "can't wait to kick off my shoes" kind of look to go with the fun sentiment. So the haphazard arrangement is what happened. lol..

Supplies used include:
Cardz-TV - Summer Fun stamp set
Versafine ink in Crimson Red
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Sunny Skies die
Scraps of DCWV patterned paper, kraft cardstock, and solid cardstock
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Tiny flip-flops from thrift store

Thank you for stopping by today!!! Hope you like this fun card. It makes me want to go to the beach......the REAL beach...at the ocean!!! I don't consider the tiny spots of sand along the Clearwater River in Idaho as anything close to being "beaches".....but incredibly that is what they call them around here! (Janis shakes head in dismay! Nooooo, no, no!!)

    1. The little flip-flops already had the ribbon in them. Aren't they the sweetest?

  4. Boy, that was fast, no sooner did I comment on your first card and here's another card from you. That's a great paper background and the bright sun compliments it, and love those flip flops and great sentiment. Thanks again for sharing with us at Double Trouble.

  8. Hi Janis
I did not get an email from you about your Rudolph Days Challenge prize. Can you email me at maureenkane@telus.net and give me your address and which prize you would like?

  9. Awk! Those little flip flops are the cutest embellishments, and I love the casual look of them on your card. I practically live in flip flops during the summer, and this is about how they look when I kick mine off after coming indoors. The stamps, paper, sun die and flip flops all came together for the perfect summer card design.
As for that drama-queen kitty with heat-stroke, haha!
