Hi, Friends and Cat Lovers..........
Thank you for being so patient with me as our family has undergone a huge transition with the tragic loss of our son-in-law. We had the funeral on Sunday and I feel like I can finally breathe again.
Our lovely 12-yr old granddaughter, having suddenly lost her dad, now lives with us and we are all getting adjusted to radically different schedules, routines, and spaces. It is wonderful to have her and it will all work out, but it has been a challenge while we continue to process our grief.
Unfortunately, this all happened while I was trying to wrap up the Cat Lovers Hop. So running the numbers for the winners got put on the back burner till I could find my footing again. I feel bad for having neglected all of you, but it was unavoidable.
Today I finally was able to run all the numbers and I have the winners list all ready to put into a blog post. I am working on that right now. Depending on how many interruptions I get and if my internet holds on during this bit of winter weather we are having, I will have it up in a few hours.
I just wanted to update you all and to thank you for all your thoughtful notes and your amazing kindness and understanding. Talk to you soon!!

Oh Janis, we can wait for however long you need, you need to look after you and yours first and foremost. What a joy your granddaughter will bring into your lives even though it appears challenging at first. I'm sending you prayers of peace and tranquility - many {{{{hugs}}}}

ReplyDeleteWe all process grief in different ways, and I know that most of us (if not all) would wait as long as needed. Your granddaughter is very blessed to be able to call your home hers as well, and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.

ReplyDeleteIt's great that you could have your granddaughter at home, she needs love and care at this difficult moment and I'm sure your home is the best choice for her. You are so positive and have a wonderful sense of humour, it will help you and her for sure!
