Purple Day Hop - Purrfect Friend

Hi, Friends........

I'm here today with a special post for the Purple Day Hop which supports Epilepsy Awareness.

Please take a moment and read the following:

Purple Day is a global grassroots event formed with the intention to increase worldwide awareness of epilepsy, and to dispel common myths and fears of this neurological disorder.
Further intentions of this movement are to reduce the social stigmas commonly endured by many individuals afflicted with the condition; to provide assurance and advocacy to those living with epilepsy that they are not alone in their ongoing endurance; and to initiate individuals living with the condition to take action in their communities to achieve these aims.
The day occurs annually on March 26.

You can read more about epilepsy here and in the chart below.

The wonderful Fikreta Posavec has organized this blog hop. It is my privilege to participate along with Fiki and a bunch of other blogging friends that many of you already know. It would be nice if you become a follower of each participant, but is not necessary to be in the prize drawings. (More on that in a minute....)
You have from March 26 - 31 to hop around!

Here is the hop list:

Annabel
Darnell
Fikreta
Hetty
Janis (You are HERE!!!)
Ike
Kitty
Karen
Lori
Lisa
Mia
Olga
Vicki

Some ladies have giveaways on their blogs (including me!!) and we also have 2 sponsors Digi Doodle Studios and Kinda cute by Patricia Alvarez. (Kinda Cute doesn't generally do sponsorships, but this time she accepted Fiki's invitation because she's on her team!)  You can win an image of your choice from our sponsors. Ike from Ike's Art and Annabel from Knitty Kitty Designs also are giving images!  Thank you to all these sponsors!

Please pop over to their FB pages here:

So what should you do to be eligible for the prizes?  It's simple. You must comment on each stop. Also, be sure to tell Fiki what you have learned about epilepsy when you visit her blog!!

I have a prize, too!! Leave a comment on this post with the words "Purrrr-ple Day Hop" and you will be in the drawing for a $15 USD (or equivalent, in your currency) e-gift card to the online retailer of your choice. Comments close on March 31st. I will be drawing the winner on April 1st (no foolin!) and posting the winner soon after that.

Okay....so here's my purple card. I have used an adorable image from Ike's Art, one of our generous sponsors!! 💜

  1. Hello, Janis! Your kitty card is so cute and adorable and I love the sentiment! I do enjoy purple! Happy Purple Day! I learned a lot about epilepsy during this Purrrr-ple Day Hop. The point I keep in mind is that during a convulsive seizure you should never hold the person down or put anything in their mouth. Please take care of yourself and stay safe and healthy!

  18. For some crazy reason, my comments aren't going through so I just hope they don't all show up at once in duplicate.
Your sweet card makes me really miss having kitties, and that upside down one is so darn squeezable. Blair saw this card and is now off at her drawing table making her own purple kitty card, lol. Thank you for sharing the epilepsy facts and your adorable card on the "Purrrr-ple Day Hop"

  21. A beautiful card in lovely cards. I suffer from epilepsy myself so raising awareness is important to me particularly as mine isn't controlled and I often suffer from partial seizures which many people are not aware of. Thank you for sharing with us at Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper. Rebecca x
