Hi, Friends.....
Is it spring where you live yet????? Probably not quite yet if you live in the North. (Or in the Southern Hemisphere!! lol...) Here in Idaho we had several days of spring weather last week and I noticed a few daffodils had opened up their cheery blossoms. (None of mine, of course, but in some other yards...lol.) Yesterday was chilly with thunder and hail and today we woke to an inch of snow. The birds were singing throughout the day, though, so I know spring is coming!
I have a pretty spring card to share with you today. I used a gorgeous die that the lovely hostesses of the Double D Challenges sent me as a prize a long time back. (THANKS again, Diane and Darlene!!) I teamed it up with one of my leftover Easter egg dye backgrounds. LOVE!!!
Supplies used include:
Tutti Designs - Garden Background die
Winnie & Walter - Big Hugs with Evelin T Designs stamp set
Versamark ink
WOW! Embossing Powder - Opaque Bright White Regular
Leftover Easter Egg dye background
Want 2 Scrap - Adhesive Pearls
Scraps of cardstock from my stash
Thank you so much for stopping by today. Be sure to pop in tomorrow....Thursday, March 26th. I am participating in the Purple Day Hop...for epilepsy awareness. There will be great inspiration and prizes! Yay! Just what we need to lift our spirits. Stay safe and healthy!!
🖤

ReplyDeleteIt’s not spring here yet. Two days ago we got about 10” of snow but the good thing about it is, it has settled a great deal already. Hopefully it will warm up soon and we will be able to go outside actually enjoy being out there. 😉
Stay well Janis, take care.

ReplyDeleteLove your card and the background is exquisite. How do you make the Easter Egg dye background, it's beautiful. As far as the weather, we are having about the same as you, since we are your southern neighbor ... Utah. I don't comment too often but subscribe and watch your posts all the time.
ReplyDeleteHi, Lezli....How nice of you to leave such a sweet comment!!
DeleteMy leftover Easter egg dye backgrounds are just sheets of watercolor or mixed media paper, with leftover egg dye spooned or dribbled over them. It's the leftover dye from dyeing eggs with my granddaughter. (This was at least two or three Easters ago..and I am still using the backgrounds!!! Bwahahaha!!) I smooshed the papers together for different effects, and added more dye, etc. until I liked what I was seeing. I just couldn't let that beautiful egg dye go to waste...even though we had made our own with a few drops of regular food coloring, so it wasn't like I paid for a kit or anything! :) I love the colors, though, and I've had a lot of fun using them.
Thanks for asking abt my backgrounds. Stay safe and healthy down there in Utah...and think spring!! :)
