**********************************************

Hi, Friends.....

I am so glad you are back today to join us for Day 2 of our 2022 Cat Lovers Hop.  A big thanks to everyone who already pounced on the Daily Game yesterday.  I enjoyed reading about new kitties and catching up on other cats who have made regular appearances on here over the last several years.  Sadly, there were a few of our dear pets that passed on this last year.  Part of what makes our community of Cat Lovers so special is that we not only share each other's joys, but also feel each other's losses. 💔💔💔

If you haven't participated in the Kitty Roll Call from yesterday's Day 1 Daily Game, I hope you will go back and do so.  You can enter any of the Daily Games through Wed. Nov. 2, but don't wait! We hope to hear from the rest of you soon.  The games are fun and really help us get to know you and your kittiesWe want to hear from everyone!!

I'm also enjoying the projects that have been linked up already.  Fabulous!!  I love seeing cat products out there that I didn't even know existed. I make a note of the companies for future sponsor possibilities!!  😉

One more thing before we get going for today.....

If you notice broken links or links going to the wrong pages or someplace where I still have a 2021, instead of 2022, PLEASE send me a note!! I rely on my alert readers to let me know when they run into something like that.  There is already enough mass confusion during our Hops without me starting some international CAT-astrophy!  I super-appreciate everyone's help in this matter!!!

NOTE:
  A BIG THANK YOU to alert Hopper LESLIE who called my attention to the broken links on the Day 1 Post for the Main Hop Post!!!  Arrrrrrghhhh.....what a nightmare!  Of course this happens on the MOST important post of the Hop!!

Apparently the naughty kitties at Blogger auto-switched out my link when I had my back turned.  Some sponsors and pre-scheduled posts had the "right" link....and some had the "wrong" link.  So I had to make two posts with identical names......"MAIN HOP POST - 2022 Cat Lovers Hop" to be able to redirect Hoppers with the "wrong" link to the right post!!  Confusing?  Oh, yah!  ARRRRGH!!!  Does anyone want this job?????  lol....

I will try to fix as many links as I can on my own posts, but be aware that BOTH links are floating around out there.  I just hope people will be patient and follow the redirect if they have the wrong one.  Thanks for understanding!!

 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just a reminder.....You must SIGN IN HERE to be eligible for prizes. Also, LINK UP ALL PROJECTS ON THE MAIN HOP PAGE by 11:55 pm Pacific, Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022.  I have my 2022 CAT LOVERS HOP - Guidelines and FAQs in a handy tab just under my header at the top of each page.  All these links are at the top of each Hop post, too.
DAILY GAME TIME!!!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Daily Game has been sponsored each year in the past by Ike's Art.  Sadly, our dear friend Ike is gone now, but we will continue the Games....although without a sponsor.  I know Ike would want this feature to continue!
NOTE:  Comments on The Daily Game posts will be included when I do the random draw comment prizes.  You might recall that half the prizes are drawn from projects linked up and half from comments here and on the linked up projects.  So the more you play in these games, the more chances you have to win a comment prize.  Yay!

COMMENT here on the Daily Games and on any or all projects that are linked up on the MAIN HOP POST by 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Time, Wednesday Nov. 2, 2022 to be in the drawings for Comment Prizes!  Be sure to SIGN IN.....required to be eligible for prizes.

Another thank you to Helpful Hopper, Kitty, who assisted me in coming up with this idea for our Daily Game:

DAY 2 GAME: Time to Tattle on Your Cats.  Tell us about something VERY NAUGHTY they have done.

I'll start.......

ALL of my cats are VERY NAUGHTY......ALL the time (and I love them so much)!!  So it is hard to narrow down what to tell you about.  Hahaha!!

Some of our cats are not too bright and others are sharp as a tack.  It's always the super-intelligent ones that seem come up with the naughtiest things to do....and they know EXACTLY what they are doing, so there is no excuse!  lol....

Our lovely, exotic Perdita (who we sadly lost a few years ago) was a gorgeous and highly-intelligent Siamese.  One time she sneaked into the addition of the house where I had a birthday cake for my daughter awaiting the evening's festivities.  Perdita licked nearly all of the icing off the center of the cake!!  I didn't discover it until we were almost ready to bring it out and add the candles.  Oh, no!!!

I called my son in there and we debated what to do.  Finally we scraped off the top part of the bare expanse and smoothed the icing from the edges over the top of it.  It was an awfully thin coat of icing.  Arrrgh.  We didn't tell my daughter until several months later!!  Ha.

Okay, now it is your turn!!
Tell us about your Naughtiest Kitty......lol!!  I can't wait to read the comments on this one.  So please share with us!!

Remember to SIGN IN and then COMMENT here through Wed. Nov. 2, 2022, 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Time to be eligible for Comment prizes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay.....let's continue on with the feline fun today!! Thanks so much for your excitement and participation!!!
  1. Oh goodness!! What HAVEN'T my cats done. LOL Well I think the one I'll tell about is they (yes pleural they) have more than once knocked the Christmas tree over to the point we have to anchor it to the ceiling then tie it off underneath the angel tree topper. So now, it looks like our angel tree topper is "hanging from the gallows" according to my brother.
  2. Happy Day 2, Janis! So judging by your meme, I guess I'm a cat lady! That looks just like our house! Good on Leslie for discovering the link trouble. I saw it after you fixed it, and it was a brilliant fix, love your sense of humour! I discovered it using the badge link on my sidebar, so I've fixed it there as well.
    Oh WOW, now that IS NAUGHTY, but kind of funny too (in hindsight)! Naughty Perdita! We can all laugh about it now but I can imagine you weren't laughing at the time! It's easy to think about naughty things my cats have done. Honeydew, although slow and mellow now, used to be a big BULLY! He would bully Kiwi relentlessly, such that Kiwi had a self-esteem problem! They were littermates, and poor Kiwi endured a lot. Honeydew tried to bully Snowie, but she would not stand for it. She ruled! For such a tiny girl, it made us giggle! My first cat Muffin was extremely naughty! He would knock things off tables, shelves, and night stands; he would open kitchen drawers and dig my dish towels out onto the floor; he would dig the soil out of my houseplants (he didn't use them as a litterbox - he just liked to dig the soil out!); he liked to get up high so I would come home from work to find him on top of the fridge, on a high closet shelf, on top of my sweaters, sound asleep, or on top of a high bookshelf, just sitting there observing. I could never figure out how he was able to jump onto these high places. He always kept me guessing! What a joy he was though - I still miss him and he's been gone 18 years. Thank you for having me as your guest designer, Janis! I enjoyed every minute! Mandy and Becca did an AWESOME job! Wow, I love their cute cards! I need to get around to thank the sponsors and do more hopping - I haven't finished thanking yesterday's sponsors yet and have only hopped a few links! Yikes! Lots to do, lots to do! Happy Hopping!
    1. Oh, that Muffin....what a character! It's those funny memories that bring warmth and joy to our hearts even when the years have not completely eased the sadness of the loss. Hugs to you, my friend. <3
  3. Where do I start... *laugh*. I can also tell a similar Christmas tree story. We also had to tie up the Christmas tree for several years. Our cats always use it as a climbing tree.
    Our Willy brought us up well. If something doesn't go fast enough (in his opinion), he runs into the guest bathroom with his head held high and pees into the corner. Very naughty!!! So now we always try to be fast enough to fulfill his wishes.
  4. I have to feed Yassi and Minnie separately. Minnie is a 'grazer' and Yassi, weeeeell, she'll eat anything in her path - even fat-shaming her has no effect at all and she is getting quite chunky! She sneaks when we are not looking and yet somehow manages to clean out Minnie's bowl every time! She's so stealthy!
  5. OMGosh, I'm sitting here laughing out loud at the other naughty stories! We sure do love our BAD fur babies, don't we?! We have 20 and I can assure you that they all have been naughty at one point or another, lol! We have several who love open drawers and those open drawers are like magnets and draw them right in. One of our guys, Milo (who sadly had to be put to rest on 8/4/22), spent the entire day earlier this year in Ed's underwear and sock drawer! When he didn't show up for treats that afternoon (he was the leader of the pack at treat time), Ed went into our bedroom and heard a faint meow, opened the drawer, and there he was! We're still chuckling over that one! ;)
  6. Cats being naughty is what they do best, and we wouldn't have it any other way, would we? I know all cats get upset tummies and are sick, but Indie once began that awful 'yukking' noise whilst sitting on the sill of the bay window. You know how we all run at that sound :) .... well, we weren't quick enough and he managed to be sick right down the back of the radiator. That took some prodding and cleaning, I have to tell you! He also brought us a baby rabbit home one day, carrying it carefully in his mouth as he jumped over the gate and into the back garden ... it was a change from all the mice he usually beheaded and left as gifts on the mat!
      Yes, we all sure do know that "call to action" when hearing a kitty get wound up to let something loose on the floor!! Oh, that was naughty of him to get sick behind the radiator.....oh, Ick!! LOL! <3
  7. They are always up to something, aren't they!!
    This involves both of our kitties when they were still very young probably during their first year. So both cats went missing on this day and were nowhere to be found. Searched the whole house up and down, everywhere. Then somehow we heard a faint meow in the basement which turned out that it was coming from inside the drop ceiling and they were walking around inside of it. We found out they got into my daughter's closet which has a little access door to the bathtub pipes. One of them dug on it with the their little claws and got the door open. And of course they both had to see what's there!!! Bad kitties!! Caused us lots of stress while we couldn't find them. But then it was just so funny!! Crazy cats for sure!!
    1. Oh, those naughty kitties!! It is amazing how they can find the worst possible places to get themselves trapped in or behind. Then when you rescue them, they just look at you like...."What are you so upset about???". Cats!! <3
    Oh Kitty made another card! it's so pretty!
     oh this cat meme is just like my cat Coffee. what crime will she made LOL
    Oh she licked it all! Did you take a  photo?
    Coffee loves to eat my plants. I can't have them! She is obsessed with plants!
    Speedy is naughty also,she loves to steal food from other cats.
    Mini, and Pixie are good cats. oh yes and that Batman cat that's not mine is also a good cat.
    he wasn't able to do too many naughty
    things (that I saw). I had cats when I
    that I don't really remember any of the
    "naughty" things they did. Enjoyed
  12. Our boys Toby and Spartacus loved bread so much, they would get up on the counter and tear into any bread bag that was left out. I forgot to warn the cat sitter - he left a bag of bagels on the counter and the cats got into it during the night. Every bagel was bitten into and a mess was spread all over the kitchen floor.
    Pandora liked peppermint. She found a pack of mint gum in my purse, pulled it out and bit into every piece.
    1. Oh, I have had cats do that, too. So naughty of them. We call the microwave the "cat safe". :)
      I had a kitty who loved peppermint, too. If you handled a mint tea bag and petted him soon after that, he would nearly tear your arm off. Loved it like catnip! It is in the same family, after all. <3
  13. When we first got Coco, she decided to climb up into the Christmas tree. We had an artificial tree and she's a pretty big girl.... not a great combination! The lower branch was never the same. We replaced the tree after another year or two of dealing with the sagging branch and she hasn't bothered the new tree.
    Great cards and another big thanks to the wonderful sponsors!
  14. Life is an adventure with cats for sure. I prefer to say my cats are mischievous instead of naughty. ha-ha Our cats love to play with
    the runner rug which is between our kitchen and den. They love to
    bunch it up or move it which requires me to constantly bend down
    and straighten it back up. I just call it exercise. (Wink.)
    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I say potato, you say po-tah-to.......I call bunching up the runner naughty!! lol... It's so funny watching cats do that. That running start and the skidding on it till it is all in a bunch....or just rolling around on it in a wrestling match till it is all scrunched up. lol... <3
  15. The funniest naughty thing was when Sylvester literally stole a doughnut from our kitchen counter. We had put the doughnut in a ziplock and I was sitting in the living room and out of the corner of my eye I see him proudly prancing (holding his head WAY up so the bag wouldn't hit the floor - he is part Maine Coon and is a BIG boy) on his way to the basement with his prize. He has done the same thing with muffins so we now have to put stuff like that in our microwave. I have explained to him that cats do not have sweet taste buds, but he refuses to listen. This is awesome, I really needed a chuckle today!
  16. Thank you for letting me guest design, Janis. It truly is an honor for me. Since I no longer have any kitties around, I will tell you about my naughty birdie, Rocky (who will tell you 'I'm a kitty cat, meow, meow' so he qualifies, right? lol). And he is always naughty! He gets a 'cookie' (really a piece of walnut) breakfast, lunch & dinner time as a treat and he KNOWS exactly what time he should get one, so if I forget what time it is, he flies into my craft room, lands on the PC and starts YELLING at me 'I want a good cookie' several times before I stop what I'm doing and give him his cookie. Probably spoiled rather than naughty, but ...
    My kitty Max gets himself in trouble every single day! Today he decided to crawl up on the shelf where I have some beautiful and fragile clay mud pottery figurines from my trip to China and just hang out and look around like he was on his own personal cat shelf. definitely my most rambunctious feline! I love ALL of these fabulous prizes and I've got my fingers crossed for that adorable Hefty Doodle or the Taylored expressions! How awesome is it to have such great sponsors! LOVE how this is growing!
  19. Our kitties have all passed away now, but we used to have 2 brothers named Perky and Patience. We came home one day to find that Perky had figured out how to get to the top cupboard somehow and was knocking all of the treats down to his brother who was enjoying them very much! LOL! Another time, when we still had our waterbed (dating myself now), I had asked a friend to take care of the 2 of them while we were away. My friend walked into the Condo and thought my husband and I must have been really frisky before we left to go on vacation as there was lingerie strewn all over the condo leading from the bedroom to the main door. She picked up all of the clothing and put it all back into the open drawer below the waterbed and checked at the same time to make sure that no one had broken into the Condo while we were away. The next day when she came back again, she again found the drawer open and the lingerie all over the condo. She finally figured it out on the 3rd day that Perky was opening the drawer with his hind legs, emptied it out and then was hopping into the drawer along with Patience as it was nice and warm from the heat of the waterbed above it. LOL!
  21. My sweet and gentle Molly cat has an absolute fascination with rolls of paper towels or TP. She kneads them with her front paws until they are completely shredded and unusable. I can't tell you how many times I've had to clean up tiny bits of paper on hands and knees. I've tried closing the door to the bathroom but she's learned how to open the door. If she can manage to make it to the counter in the kitchen (without being seen and scolded), she'll make a beeline straight for the paper towel holder and shred whatever is there. Grrrr
  23. I cannot quite recollect as my Cats Pets were during my childhood years. I only can remember one Kitty often pounced onto our new puppy who had arrived at our home. He was still little and the Kitty seemed to enjoy bullying the puppy. So I told her to behave as once he got larger she will have her repercussions, LOL?! I always enjoyed your Kitty stories and your Guest Designers did such fantastic work, love them all.
  24. My cat back when I was in school was a bit of a troublemaker. He was one that needed all my attention. If I was working on homework or drawing, he would lay across my paper, play with my pens, and knock things off my desk. However, like most pets, he would just give me that cute look and I would stop whatever I was doing to pet him.
    Oh, pets know that they can get their way with just one look. lol, but I loved him so much and little cat cuddle breaks are always ok. :)
  25. One of my kittens from many years ago was about three months old, One day he thought he could take away a three-kilos tuna that I was preparing to put in oil in jars. He literally jumped on the tuna like on a horse, grabbed it with all his four legs but obviously couldn’t move it an inch. I couldn’t get him to leave! Aargh!!!
