September Rudolph Days

Hi, Friends......

Here I am sneaking in with a September entry in Scrappy Mo's September Rudolph Days. Can't let this month go by without doing that!! :)

I have been super-busy getting ready for the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop coming up Oct. 22-27, so I haven't done much crafting at all. We have a fabulous lineup of sponsors and awesome prizes again this year, so get your claws sharpened and your kitty crafting supplies ready!!

So here's my card for Rudolph Days. I made this relatively flat for easy mailing and in the tall format that I like so well! Fits into standard size business envelope. Yay!

Supplies used include:
My Mind's Eye - All is Bright stamp set (sadly, discontinued)
Versamark Ink
Ranger - Embossing Powder (in silver)
Clearly Besotted -Tree and Tinsel dies are discontinued. :(
Spellbinders - Holiday Tags die set
Pretty Pink Posh - Sparkling Clear Mix sequins
Snowflake doily from stash

Guest Designer for Addicted To Stamps - Christmas Comes Soon

Hi, Friends.........

I am honored today to be a Guest Designer for the beautiful people over at the Addicted To Stamps Challenge blog. Their theme is "Christmas Comes Soon", so they are asking for a Christmas card with stamping as the focal point. I have a lot of Christmas stamps that don't get much ink, so it was fun to choose one to use for this challenge.

For this card, I picked out a pretty stamp that my son found for me at a thrift store. (Isn't he just the best son???!!!) I think it looks Christmas-y, even though it actually is a Noah's Ark theme with the dove carrying the olive branch over the waves. But it still certainly carries the message of Christmas: Peace on Earth. I heat embossed it in gold (which I adore!!) and colored it with some shimmery thrift store watercolors. :)

My background is a DCWV pre-embossed card base. I brayered Tombow multi mono glue over it and dusted it with gold Perfect Pearls. It was still a bit sticky after the dusting, so I sprinkled a bit of cornstarch over it to "de-stick" it.....worked great and didn't dull the gold of the powder! I also sponged some distress ink in Rusty Hinge around the edges for a vintage look.

Products used include:
Inkylicious - Seasons Greetings x4 stamp set
Dove Stamp from thrift store
Versamark ink
Ranger - Embossing Powder in super fine gold
DCWV - pre-embossed card base
Tombow Multi Mono Glue
Perfect Pearls Pigment Powder in gold
Distress ink in Rusty Hinge
Shimmering Watercolors from thrift store
Prima - Gold Doilies

Hope you liked my card. I want to thank the wonderful team at the Addicted To Stamps Challenge blog for inviting me to design with them today. Hope you are inspired to get working on your Christmas cards!

Graphic 45 Lady in Elegant Dress

Hi, Friends......

I am back with another pretty Graphic 45 card to also enter into the Winnie & Walter August Color Combo Challenge - Any Palette Goes. Here's the beautiful palette that I chose for my card.  The colors have an autumny feel (which I ran with), although the photo is springy.  It even has pink...my favorite color!

I'm not big on fussy cutting a lot of details, but this card was a lot of fun to make with all the pearls and lace. I even put some pearls around the hem of the gown. Pretty!!  The lovely lady is from the "9 Ladies Dancing"  sheet of my G45 - "12 Days of Christmas" collection.

Products used include:
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Graphic 45 "Place in Time" collection
Graphic 45 "12 Days of Christmas" collection
Distress Ink in Walnut Stain
DCWV scraps
Want 2 Scrap - Adhesive Pearls
Ribbon and Lace from my stash
Core'dinations cardstock for card base

Hope you enjoyed my card. I really love how it turned out!

Graphic 45 Anniversary Cards

Married to her for all those lives and never realized that!  Ha.

Hi, Friends....

I've been on a Graphic 45 kick lately and have some anniversary cards to share with you today. I love mixing and matching the vintage patterns and solids for a pretty look. By staying all in one collection, everything matches and I don't have to go comparing colors in my millions of scrap bags...lol.

Occasionally I find a scrap that is exactly the right color so I put it inside the big 2-1/2 gallon zipper bags that I keep each G45 collection in....very handy for next time I am using that set. I prefer the press and seal type of zipper bags over the slider zipper kind, but either is fine....as long as I get it at the dollar store. They are big enough to hold 12x12 stacks plus extras.....like the scraps I generate while making cards! :)

I am entering in the Winnie & Walter August Color Combo Challenge - Any Palette Goes. Here is the beautiful palette I found to help me with my card.

While I had my collection out, I made three cards.  Which is your favorite?

#1 - I like the spring/summery colors of this one.

#2 - Same design as #1, but in more late summer/autumny colors, which I also love!!

#3 - Another in later summer/autumny colors with 2 panels.

Supplies used include:
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Graphic 45 - Celebrations collection
Distress Ink in Walnut Stain
Core'dinations Cardstock for card bases

Hope you like these cards and that it reminds you to stop hoarding that Graphic 45 paper!! lol.... I know it is too pretty to use....but it is also too pretty to NOT use!! A few years ago I finally decided I needed to buy a whole bunch of collections just so I could allow myself to use the few that I already had. It was a nasty task indulging in these lovely collections, but I had to do it! Hahahaha... Thank you for stopping by today!

Belated BD Card with Paper Piecing

Looks like this sweet sloth is all partied out!!  Awwww.....

Hi, Friends......

I am here to share a really fun belated birthday card. Maybe you are like I am....make tons of cards and can't get one sent in a timely manner! I slipped up on every August birthday on my list....arrrgh. Not sure where my energy went, but I think the heat really got to me.

One of the birthdays that I am going to celebrate with a late card and gift is for my very own daughter!! (How bad of a Mom am I!!! lol...) Actually, that one was by design...because I wanted to use this adorable LF sloth set from Di Wray (THANKS, Di!!!) which is perfect for a belated card. My daughter loves sloths!! She doesn't read my blog, so I am safe posting this right away. :)

I am entering this card in the Winnie & Walter August Color Combo Challenge - Any Palette Goes. Autumn tones of green are my daughter's favorite color, so I chose this muted palette for my card:

I got brave and tried paper piecing the sloth with scraps from my stash. I even had a grassland piece to use for the critter's hairy little body!
I rarely do piecing....because I am soooooo SLOW!  Ha!  But this was really fun.
Products used include:
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Lawn Fawn - Hang in There stamp set
Lawn Fawn - Hang in There die set
Versafine ink in Onyx Black
Sakura Gelly Roll Glaze Gel Pens - 10 Pack (black for eyes)
Distress Marker in Walnut Stain to ink edges of pieces
DCWV scraps from stash
Twine from stash

Hope you liked my card. I think my daughter is going to love it!! (If I ever manage to get it to her...lol!)
