Thank you for the honor of entering this card in the following challenge: 1. November Rudolph Days
I am finally back!! Thank you so much for your patience as our family dealt with the tragic loss of our son-in-law and then having our sweet 12 yr old granddaughter move in with us. It's been a huge transition, but the Lord is good and we are adjusting and getting settled as we continue to process our grief. You are all champs for bearing with me during this time!
So............let's look at a few vital statistics for this Hop.
Wasn't
this a fantastic hop???? I deeply appreciate every single one of our
lovely Hoppers and all the kind comments you have left for me during our loss and also about our
Hop. Our numbers were a little smaller than last year and I hope it is just that our Hoppers were very busy with families and real life. We had 79 participants (down from 94 last year)that signed in from 14 countries (down from 17 last year), including 25 first-time hoppers (down from 37 last year). Still I am very happy with this wonderful participation....it is quality and not quantity that we excel in here! Everyone did such a great job leaving wonderful comments and
making projects. The caliber of your cards and projects was totally
amazing!
Our lovely sponsors......
Sadly, we had a number of our faithful sponsors unfortunately go out of business or choose retirement over the last year. Very sorry to see these wonderful companies go. Quite a few others had to decline my request for them to return as sponsors. There are a multitude of factors involved but I know the crazy pandemic has hit small businesses very, very hard. It makes me all the more grateful for those who continue to sponsor us each year!!!
This year we had 46 fabulous sponsors this year (up from 44 last year)with a total of 59 prizes (down from 60 last year)!! I wish I had a prize for every single person, but I am thrilled to have 59 prizes for 79 Hoppers!! THANK YOU, SPONSORS!!! 💟💟💟
So let's get right to the prizes and winners, shall we?
TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE: 1. Please send me an email ASAP to claim your prize: jwoolbright at gmail dot com. 2. Please put "WINNER 2022 Cat Lovers Hop" in Subject. 3. In body of email, please tell me what sponsor AND prize you won. 4. If you won a physical prize (rather than a digital item or gift code) please include your snail mail address. 5. If you don't hear from me within three days, please send me a note again! Sometimes
the naughty kitties in the SPAM filters reach out and snag your emails
and pull them under the couch where I can't find them! So WRITE to me
multiple times if you don't hear back from me in a few days!!
So........with the assistance of Random.org.....here are our winners:
BADGE GIVEAWAY (for posting my Cat Hop Badge on sidebar,social media, blogging about it, etc.) Darkroom Door - Sitting Cat Eclectic Stamp - Fikreta

Whewwwwwwwwwwww.....that
is a ton of winners!!! Huge congratulations to each of you!!! Be sure
to look at the list carefully because I don't want anyone to miss out
on seeing that they are a winner.
4. If you won a physical prize (rather than a digital set or gift code) please include your snail mail address. 5. If you don't hear from me within three days, please send me a note again! lol...
I again want to thank my Helpful Hoppers/Guest Designers for the way they really jumped in and gave such cheerful support and help: Angela (Crafting with Jack), Suzanne Harkinson, Becca Yahrling, KT Fit Kitty, Mandy Dodd, Karen Ladd and Carol Jones, and Chris (Catnip and Kitty Whiskers).
If any of the rest of you are interested in helping out for next year,
DO NOT tell me right now or I might decide to not even have one next year!!! lol... Write to me next August or
September. That's when I will be going totally nuts and have a better
idea of what help I need!!! 😄
That wraps up the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop!! I hope you have enjoyed it! THANK YOU for your very kind comments of appreciation. They mean a lot to me. The Hop is more work than you can imagine and each year I am not sure I am up to doing it, but I do love it.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo
...... If I have not dropped dead or been committed to a mental institution in a
complete state of hysteria by next year, I hope to be hosting the 2023 Cat Lovers Hop next October. As always, the Hop is scheduled for the last full week of October, so IF I DO THIS AGAIN NEXT YEAR......the dates will be: October 23-28, 2023. Hope to see you then, if not before!!!
Thank you for being so
patient with me as our family has undergone a huge transition with
the tragic loss of our son-in-law. We had the funeral on Sunday
and I feel like I can finally breathe again.
Our lovely 12-yr old
granddaughter, having suddenly lost her dad, now lives with us and we
are all getting adjusted to radically different schedules, routines,
and spaces. It is wonderful to have her and it will all work
out, but it has been a challenge while we continue to process our
grief.
Unfortunately, this all
happened while I was trying to wrap up the Cat Lovers Hop. So
running the numbers for the winners got put on the back burner till I
could find my footing again. I feel bad for having neglected
all of you, but it was unavoidable.
Today I finally was able to
run all the numbers and I have the winners list all ready to put into
a blog post. I am working on that right now. Depending on
how many interruptions I get and if my internet holds on during this bit of winter weather we are having, I will have it up in a few hours.
I just wanted to update you
all and to thank you for all your thoughtful notes and your amazing
kindness and understanding. Talk to you soon!!
My huge apologies to everyone. The Winners Post for our Cat Lovers Hop will be delayed a bit longer. We had a death in the family (our son-in-law) this week and are a bit overwhelmed at the moment.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we find our feet again.
but you can still leave comments and win prizes!! THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO
COMMENT ON PROJECTS
AND TO
PLAY IN THE DAILY GAMES!!
If you have not finished commenting,
please make sure to SIGN IN HERE(required to be eligible for prizes) and then go to the Main Hop Post to find the linked-up projects to visit.
Leave comments to be eligible
for the comment prize drawings!!!
Hi, Friends.....
STORM DELAY....Sorry for the delay in getting this Wrap-Up Day Post up. My internet had been wonky all day yesterday and a storm was predicted last evening. It wasn't even thaaaaaaaaaaat much of a storm, but it must have hit the towers that are associated with our service because it all went dead. We are fine....just a little bit of wind and snow, with everything white this morning. But it was enough that I couldn't get my post up. Thank you for your patience and concern!! ❤
Welcome to the Wrap-Up Day for our 2022 Cat Lovers Hop. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO COMMENT ON PROJECTS AND TO PLAY IN THE DAILY GAMES. I know a number of you have already finished....but I haven't!! lol... With my crazy internet, I have only made it a little over halfway through the list. BUT I WILL GET THERE!! (Maybe not by tonight, though, but I am going to try!)
The
project Link-Up closed on Saturday, Oct. 29, but to give as many of you
as possible a chance to comment on the projects I kept comments open
several extra days. Comments close at 11:59 pm Pacific today, Wednesday, Nov. 2nd.
You also have through today to participate in the Daily Games that you will find on each of last week's posts. Comments on each of those posts also go into the draw for Comment Prizes. So if you have not caught up
on the Daily Games, this is the day to do that!
DID YOU THANK OUR SPONSORS??? Each daily post includes links for visiting the featured sponsor blogs, FB, etc. Almost everyone has expressed their appreciation to them on MY daily posts and that is wonderful. But unless you actually go over to THEIR webpages, our generous sponsors are unlikely to see your notes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUPER COMMENTER PRIZE DRAWING: If
you manage to make it all the way through the Link-up and comment on
every single project, you can link up your name at the bottom of this
post to be in the special drawing for the Super Commenter Prize.
NOTE: I
realize that some are not members of all the different platforms (FB,
IG, Flickr, SCS, etc) where our Hoppers might post projects and will not
be able to comment on those projects. You can still qualify for the Super Commenter drawingIF YOU MENTION IN THE COMMENTS BELOW which platforms you are not a member of, but that you commented on EACH of the other projects.
VERY IMPORTANT:
To be eligible for the Super Commenter prize, you MUST comment on all
the projects AND link up your name in the linky tool below.
That's
all for the Wrap-Up Post. Finish up those comments and then link up
below by 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Time TONIGHT to be in the draw for the Super Commenter prize. Don't forget to
tell me in the comments if you couldn't comment on particular platforms.
Thanks
so much for all your great participation in this year's Hop. I hope
you had as much fun as I did. I will get going on running all the
it!! See you then.
They say it works with toddlers, too!! (I might have to get back to you on that!)
Hi, Friends.......
I'm here with a quick post to add my submission into Maureen's Rudolph Days Challenge. I am still busy with tying up loose ends with the Cat Lovers Hop.....although I have to admit that I didn't do a scrap of commenting today and I am way behind!! I will have to work hard on it through Wednesday to get all the lovely projects visited.
Just a note: You can still participate in the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop by commenting on my Daily Posts and on the Linked-Up projects through Wed. Nov. 2 for a chance at one of the comment prizes!! If you love cats, you will be so glad you did!! Get all the details HERE.
My Christmas card today used a gleaming double embossed background I had leftover in my stash. I have made cards with this wonderful embossing folder a number of times...often double embossing them. But I always struggled to fit them on an A2-sized card. I finally figured out that I should put them on a 5"x7". Ahhhh, much better!
Supplies used include: Darice Christmas Tree embossing folder (retired) Versamark Ink Warm Silver Embossing Powder Scrapbook Adhesives - Black Photo Corners Adhesive pearls in black Sentiment from thrift store - not sure of brand Versafine Ink in Onyx Black
Hope you liked my card. Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Hope you have a fun and safe Halloween! We never get any trick-or-treaters, but my daughter picked up two bags of candy...just in case!!! lol....
I'll leave you with my favorite kitty Halloween cartoon:
See you on Wednesday with my Wrap-Up Post for the Cat Lovers Hop.
Comments are still open until Nov. 2!! Details are HERE.
Hi, Friends......
This week has been such a frenzy with our 2022 Cat Lovers Hop, that I have not had a chance to post even one card! So I am taking the time right now just before the gates close to finally put this one up that I had made for my son's birthday this year. I used Lost Coast Designs products and am going to add it to their Cats and Dogs Challenge.
I stamped, heat embossed and masked off the cityscape and experimented around on scratch paper till I had the cat positioned where I wanted. Fussy cutting the mask around all those spires looks like it would be tedious, but I found I did not have to be too exact. Good thing, because I detest fussy cutting!! lol...
The inside sentiment says: "Be Humble and Rule the World". :)
I am linking this up to my own Cat Hop, even though I am not eligible for prizes. Maybe my Hoppers will come take a peek at it. :)
Thank you all for stopping by. Remember you can still comment on the Cat Hop projects through Wed. Nov. 2! Go to the Main Hop Post to find out all the details!!
(Whether your country celebrates cats today or not, you can celebrate it with us in the USA!!)
To help us all celebrate National Cat Day, our friend and Helpful Hopper Becca sent me a link to a fun daily e-newsletter all about cats....the Daily Purr Cats!! You can find out about it and subscribe HERE. I had never seen it before and immediately had to sign up. It's FREE! Yay! Thank you, Becca!!! ❤
Hi, Friends........ Wow....we made it! We are on the Day 6 of our Hop. The week has really flown by.....like kitty crazies in the middle of the night! Ha.
Have you enjoyed the Daily Games? Thank you for indulging me on the silly Day 4 - Cat Riddles and Jokes Game. The ones you have shared have tickled my funny bone!! Thanks for taking part in that.
Many of you have already linked up your 5 projects for the week and will spend National Cat Day with your kitties....and maybe CATching up on thanking sponsors and commenting on all the projects!! For the rest of you, TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO LINK UP PROJECTS!!!All projects must be linked up by 11:55 pm Pacific tonight, October 29th.
Despair not, though, because you can still COMMENT (on projects and the Daily Games) through next Wednesday!!! Comments close at 11:59 pm Pacific, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022.
up near midnight tonight!!
marathon commenters must have a much faster internet connection than
mine is here in Idaho. I am still trying to catch up!!)
BLOGGER TROUBLES CONTINUE.....Have you noticed how this year is worse than most for accessing blogs, leaving comments, getting logged in/out, etc???? I found another thing Blogger is doing....sending a bunch of your lovely comments on my Daily Posts into the spam folder!!! ARRRGH!! I get email notifications that you have commented and just assume they actually posted onto my blog. Not necessarily!! So frustrating.
I went to my Blog's Spam folder today and found over a dozen of your comments that somehow triggered the filters. I have them all properly added to my posts now, but it made me think that this is possibly happening to other people, too. So please check your Blog Spam Folders. I can't include Hopper comments in for the Comment Prizes if I don't see them when I visit your blog! Thanks for your help!!
DAILY GAME TIME!!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Daily Game has been sponsored each year in the past by Ike's Art.
Sadly, our dear friend Ike is gone now, but we will continue the
Games....although without a sponsor. I know Ike would want this feature
to continue!
NOTE: Comments on The Daily Game posts will be included when I do the random draw comment prizes. You
might recall that half the prizes are drawn from projects linked up and
half from comments here and on the linked up projects. So the more you play in these games, the more chances you have to win a comment prize. Yay!
COMMENT here on the Daily Games and on any or all projects that are linked up on the MAIN HOP POST by 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Time, Wednesday Nov. 2, 2022 to be in the drawings for Comment Prizes! Be sure to SIGN IN.....required to be eligible for prizes.
DAY 6 GAME: Where Do Your Cats Sleep? Do they hog your pillow or do they have a secret nest?
I'll go first.....
We have an upstairs loft with a pull-down ladder for access. The cats love sleeping up there in the loft where the warm air rises. Even dear old Jetta, age 19, shoots up that ladder (she is faster than I am!!!) to take a nap in her favorite nest up there. At night, though, she often sleeps on top of me, esp if I have the heating pad on! My sweet snuggly Judith sleeps on my pillow or at the foot of the bed. Othello usually sleeps with my son in the loft at night or on the couch.
Okay, now it is your turn!! Tell us all about the interesting places your kitties sleep.
Remember to SIGN IN and then COMMENT here through Wed. Nov. 2, 2022, 11:59 pm Pacific Daylight Time to be eligible for Comment prizes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, now go get those last projects finished and posted because TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO LINK UP PROJECTS!!! But you will still have through next Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, 11:59 pm Pacific to finish up your commenting.
Thank
you sooooooooooo much for being a
part of the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop. Your excitement and participation
has been such a joy! Now get that last project linked up and finish
leaving your comments and next Wednesday, Nov.2 will be the Wrap-Up Post. I will
see you then!!
