Be Humble and Rule the World

Comments are still open until Nov. 2!!  Details are HERE.

Hi, Friends......

This week has been such a frenzy with our 2022 Cat Lovers Hop, that I have not had a chance to post even one card!  So I am taking the time right now just before the gates close to finally put this one up that I had made for my son's birthday this year.   I used Lost Coast Designs products and am going to add it to their Cats and Dogs Challenge.

I stamped, heat embossed and masked off the cityscape and experimented around on scratch paper till I had the cat positioned where I wanted.  Fussy cutting the mask around all those spires looks like it would be tedious, but I found I did not have to be too exact.  Good thing, because I detest fussy cutting!!  lol...

The inside sentiment says:  "Be Humble and Rule the World".  :)

Supplies used include:
Lost Coast Designs - ATC Lattice Set - Background Texture Stamping
Carmen's Veranda - Peekaboo Kitty (large) stamp
Lost Coast Designs - Small Cityscape Stamp
The Cat's Pajamas - Good Meowning stamp set (Retired) - Inside Sentiment
Versafine Ink Onyx Black
Clear Embossing Powder
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
Distress Ink in Fired Brick, Antique Linen, and Walnut Stain

I am linking this up to my own Cat Hop, even though I am not eligible for prizes.  Maybe my Hoppers will come take a peek at it.  :)

Thank you all for stopping by.  Remember you can still comment on the Cat Hop projects through Wed. Nov. 2!  Go to the Main Hop Post to find out all the details!!

  5. Your card is simply wonderful, Janis. I can imagine how long it must have taken to fussy cut around the city scape but it was well worth the effort as it looks amazing!

  6. Hello, Janis! So happy you were able to share a kitty card for the hop! I honestly don't know how you managed this week. It felt like I was back working a full-time job, and I was only a participant! You are AMAZING!!! Not to mention all of the prep work you did ahead of time, to secure sponsors, write blog posts, add links for all of the sponsors, arrange and schedule each day's blog posts, communicate with the sponsors - and I can only imagine what else was involved! Like I said, you are AMAZING! And so is your adorable kitty card! He must have loved it! Just wanted to add that I really appreciate everything you do for these hops! Most people don't realize everything that goes on behind the scenes to keep a hop like this running smoothly. I really enjoyed myself this year, participated to the fullest extent, and I think it was the best hop yet! Congratulations on 219 entries! I wonder if it sets a new record? We will all wait for the wrap-up to find out! THANK YOU from the bottom of my kitty-loving heart!

  7. Wow! That's a lot of fussy cutting. I'm sure your son loved it. I don't think I can say thank you better than Kitty did, so I echo her sentiments. I enjoy this hop so much. Thank you for hosting it and all the work that goes into it.

  15. Fabulous card, Janis, and that image is just too much! What a great sentiment to go with that cat's face. The hop has been incredible again this year. I know how much work you must do to put this on for us each year and I hope you won't give it up any time soon I look forward to it each year. I'm heading over to the Main Page entries to finish my commenting. Too bad I can't get onto any of the Social Media sites (except FB and even one or two of those were blocked) and I miss out on the ones at Split Coast Stampers, too. I don't have accounts on any of those. Bless you and see you next year.
