Hi, Friends........

mine is here in Idaho. I am still trying to catch up!!)
BLOGGER TROUBLES CONTINUE.....Have you noticed how this year is worse than most for accessing blogs, leaving comments, getting logged in/out, etc???? I found another thing Blogger is doing....sending a bunch of your lovely comments on my Daily Posts into the spam folder!!! ARRRGH!! I get email notifications that you have commented and just assume they actually posted onto my blog. Not necessarily!! So frustrating.
I went to my Blog's Spam folder today and found over a dozen of your comments that somehow triggered the filters. I have them all properly added to my posts now, but it made me think that this is possibly happening to other people, too. So please check your Blog Spam Folders. I can't include Hopper comments in for the Comment Prizes if I don't see them when I visit your blog! Thanks for your help!!

I'll go first.....
We have an upstairs loft with a pull-down ladder for access. The cats love sleeping up there in the loft where the warm air rises. Even dear old Jetta, age 19, shoots up that ladder (she is faster than I am!!!) to take a nap in her favorite nest up there. At night, though, she often sleeps on top of me, esp if I have the heating pad on! My sweet snuggly Judith sleeps on my pillow or at the foot of the bed. Othello usually sleeps with my son in the loft at night or on the couch.
Tell us all about the interesting places your kitties sleep.
Okay, now go get those last projects finished and posted because TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO LINK UP PROJECTS!!! But you will still have through next Wednesday, Nov. 2nd, 11:59 pm Pacific to finish up your commenting.

Janis
I love your stories Janis!!
ReplyDeleteUsually mine are on the couch or one of the lounge chairs...almost on top of each others... LOL, so long as there is a layer of blanket between them!!
Our Kasimir loves to sleep on my office chair. Every day when I come to the office I have to transport him somewhere else to get to work. Luckily he is peaceful and puts up with it. When our Emma sleeps in it at night (usually in winter), she sleeps on my legs in my bed and it doesn't bother her when I turn around, so she looks for a new position.
ReplyDeleteWe have several that sleep on the bed, but most of them sleep in the cat beds or on thick cushy blankies. There is a cat bed or blankie on just about every flat surface in our house, making it look like our kitties allow us to live in their house! LOL!
ReplyDeleteThere was many a morning we'd wake up to find Anna Banana sleeping on one of the patio chairs, waiting for her breakfast. But usually it was next door (her real owners) in their front garden (she was an outdoor kitty).
ReplyDeleteMy cats used to sleep all over the place. Favorite spots included, the bed, under the bed, on my desk by the window, and any place that had a blanket. Both of my cats were pros at finding a comfy spot to sleep.
ReplyDeleteOne of my kitties sleeps on my bed every single night. I made a round bed with a nice and cushy blanket for him and placed it on the end of the bed on the left side. He loves to curl up in it. My other kitty sleeps on a blanket on the couch.
ReplyDeleteOh what a great question, Janis! I enjoyed reading about your kitties! My first kitty Muffin slept with me every night and would sleep on my left shoulder, right next to my face! We have lots of photos of this; it's so cute! Kiwi and Honeydew would sometimes sleep at the foot of the bed but they would always be gone by morning, so who knows where they were/are. I find Honeydew in various places asleep in the morning, on the loveseat, chesterfield, by the front door, or by the patio door, mostly likely keeping guard. Snowie always slept with Brian, cuddled up to his left side. When I was very sick with vertigo, basically bedridden for a number of days at a time, Snowie slept with me during the day. She also slept with me for 5 of the 7 weeks when Brian was in the hospital and rehab after his stroke. For the first 2 weeks, she slept on the chesterfield, maybe she was waiting for him to come back. When Brian finally came home, their reunion was priceless! Thanks for giving us until November 2 to comment as I have now fallen a couple days behind. Thank you for the link to Daily Purr - I subscribed! Karen, Mandy, Deby, and Carole have all made beautiful cards - I love them all! Happy National Cat Day! Woot, woot! Now I'm off to do some hopping and thanking! I think this year has been the best hop yet! Really taking my time and enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteLove this fun hop! Thank you so much Janis for organizing it! I have spotted quite a few cat stamp sets that I have added to my wish list! Thanks to you for all the work you do for this and to all the wonderful and generous sponsors!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see where we can purchase Stampendous stamps!! My cats sleep mostly on the back of our pillow top sofa, it's a large 4 seater so each of the three cats has a spot tough one cat gets angry if another is in her spot and she 'kicks' them off the place, they also sleep in my chairs in my craft room, kind of annoying as if I get up to die cut something a cat jumps in my chair!!
ReplyDeleteMy cats have different spots to sleep during the day. Our little Iceman has a little cat bed he likes. Maverick sleeps mostly in the second bedroom, but you also find him in any sunspot. At night, Maverick sleeps next to me and Iceman sleeps next to my husband. Thanks so much for all your work! It's so fun to read everyone's comments and stories.
ReplyDeleteSince Tommy was more-or-less a feral cat,
ReplyDeletehe slept outside. During the day, he slept
on my lap when I was outside. Been a
fun week. Thanks for doing this hop.
Have great holidays and good luck in the
new year.
Coco usually sleeps on my bed! She has a particular spot that she loves to curl up, and that happens to involve me placing my legs in a position that is to her liking.... and she snuggles up against me.
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun making cards for the hop! Thanks for all the hard work you do in putting the hop together, and to your wonderful helpers and sponsors too!
Our cat is an outside cat and sleeps wherever she wants! I will never forget waking up to a different cat we were taking care of who wrapped himself around my head.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter's cat has a cat bed. Had a cat bed that was not being slept in and instead was sleeping in daughter's bed. Daughter got a new bed that cat likes and so now it sleeps in the new cat bed.
ReplyDeleteToday Chewy .com has an offer that with a >= $80 purchase you get a $25 e gift card. Daughter ordered a new cat tower.
Melissa
"Sunshine HoneyBee"
Our last cat, Sparky, loved to nap on my lap while I watched TV in the evening. At night he always slept on the bed on top of my feet. When his littermate brother was alive the two boys would cuddle together on our loveseat all night.
ReplyDeleteWhere my three fur babies sleep depends entirely on the weather. During the hot summers, they can usually be found under the bed where it's cooler than any other place in the house. Occasionally, I find them napping in the bathtub because they love the cool porcelein. But as the weather gets chilly at night, they all migrate to the bed where the crawl under the covers and hug themselves against my body to soak up the warmth. If they aren't under the covers, then they are sleeping on top of me or nestled into my hair (which is long) on the pillow.
ReplyDeleteMine have different habits: someone sleeps in his basket, someone on the cushions of the chairs but my favorite is always hugged me on the bed. I can’t turn around, I have to stand still as she likes!! :D
ReplyDeleteMy cats have slept wherever was the most comfortable at the time, and at night time on the bed with me. Although Tinker liked to go out late at night and come home in the early hours!
ReplyDeleteI love your stories. Our cat has a cat bed and she likes it. But she also sleeps on the couch or our bed.
ReplyDeleteSo much fun reading about all the sleeping locations! Mine sleep anywhere and everywhere. Depending on the time of day/night too. You might find one or the other (or both) in any of our beds (by the feet or stealing a pillow), you might find them sleeping on the window sill with the sun shining on them warming up their bellies. Maybe a laundry basket or a comfy sofa chair. Thomas will sometimes sleep on the tall cat tower but Fussy never does as Thomas claimed it as his own and she doesn't seem to like heights too much. They have their hiding places too and honestly don't even know where they are as they are sometimes not anywhere to be found but when they hear their treats they suddenly appear out of nowhere. Sneaky cats!!
ReplyDeleteIchigo was a foot of the bed sleeper and Gigi and DC have a custom kitty house on my back porch that they sometimes share! The looser goes to a hidey hole under the porch!
ReplyDeleteOur cats sleep all over the place! Usually Max sleeps on my husbands feet, Omar sleeps on mine, and Fuzz sleeps on the couch. But lately, all three cats are now sleeping on the couch. That will change soon though, I'm sure.

ReplyDeleteAll of our kitties have passed away now, but Perky who was 13 lbs. used to sleep on my back and shoulders at night or sometimes on my chest. I actually got to the point, that I couldn't fall asleep unless he was sleeping on me as he used to purr a lot too. In the morning, it was awesome as he would knead my upper back from one side to the other. I had my own personal cat massage.
ReplyDeleteAfter Perky passed away, Patience, his brother, would always jump up and tuck all of the blankets in along my body. Then he would jump up on my chest and check my breathing. If I opened my eyes, he would jump down again, then within 5 minutes, he would check again. He would then go down and sleep at the end of the bed or the top of the stairs. In the morning, he would jump down as soon as he would hear us stir and pretend that he was just walking into the room. LOL!
Boo, our other little lady who came later, was 23 lbs. when we rescued her. She also used to like to sleep on my back. At first, I would wonder why my back was so sore in the morning. Then one night my husband saw her sleeping on my back and it answered our question. LOL! Boo always slept on me whether I was sitting down or lying down. She was always with me no matter where I went.
Happy National cat day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Becca for the link!
SO cute card frok Karen! and mady made adorable card!
oh wow! Carole made gorgeous card!
my cats sleep on the couch, but coffee have special place in my craft room on the window where is her blanket so she sleeps there.
where is night they all sleep in bathroom on there beds.
One of my favourite poems is
ReplyDeleteCats sleep, anywhere,
Any table, any chair
Top of piano, window-ledge,
In the middle, on the edge,
Open drawer, empty shoe,
Anybody's lap will do,
Fitted in a cardboard box,
In the cupboard, with your frocks-
Anywhere! They don't care!
Cats sleep anywhere.

Luckily my cats take turns sleeping in the best spots. The heated cat bed is THE place to be this time of year, as well as any of the numerous cat trees. The bed is their favorite - Mew, used to insist on sleeping on my head but has now decided my side works fine; Max sleeps on the heating pad I use for my feet (Em does, too) and I am lucky if I can slip my feet inside. Bud comes to bed every night and stays until I fall asleep; Sylvester sleeps anywhere on me or on the bed, Sasha sleeps above my head or on the side of my pillow. OK I have to count to see how many I have left - Lily rarely makes an appearance, but will sleep with me if there is no one else around (no humans or cats), Junior is not a lap or bed cat, he sleeps on the pillow behind where I sit on the couch, or the heated kitty bed. And they all sleep under the living room couch (the heater directs the heat under there) at any given time. Of course, any cardboard box box is a favorite & I always say you can tell if people have cats because in their pictures (no matter what the picture is of) there are empty cardboard boxes strewn about their house :) xoxo
