I am here with my November Rudolph Days card. I believe that November is the last of those challenges for the year! I have managed to enter each month which allows me to participate in the special drawing for December. Yay!
I also am playing along in the Let's Squash It Challenge. The lovely hostesses Jo and Gail asked us to use a stencil along with our embossing folder this time. I've never tried doing that before....it was fun and easy! (Just my sort of technique...lol..)
My card turned out simple and cute. I added lots of little adhesive gems to dress it up. I even managed to sneak in a couple of "cheater" scraps of cardstock for the sentiment panel....not very creative, but I'm happy to just be getting a card done!!! I will enter into Di's Pixie's Snippets Playground, also. Yay!
Supplies used include: Sizzix - TH Texture Fades - Courtyard embossing folder Delta Stencil Magic - Tree Medley (long retired) Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set - retired Clearly Besotted - Modern Christmas stamp set (retired) Versafine ink in Satin Red Distress Inks Sponge Daubers Hampton Art - Ki Self Adhesive Gems (retired)
Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you liked my card! I think I will use this new-to-me stencil + dry embossing technique again soon!!

Hi, Friends......
I am here with another coffee card for the 2021 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Hop. I did this one in all purples....maybe I use more monochromes than I thought!! :)
I used an adorable Love Nicole set from Holley Barnhart (THANKS, Holley!!). I had fun choosing purples from my scrap bag for the mug, heart, and steam and solid panel. I think it turned out really cute!
Supplies used include: Love Nicole - Hug in a Mug stamp and die set Versafine ink in Smokey Gray Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set (retired) My Favorite Things Die-namics - Stitched Square STAX die set (retired) Scraps from my stash of patterned and solid cardstock
Thanks so much for stopping by to take a look at my card! I hope you Coffee Hoppers are enjoying this lovely event. Have a wonderful week!

Hi, Coffee and Cat Loving Friends.....
I hardly ever get to participate in the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop because I am usually still up to my purr box in Cat Hop stuff. But for some odd reason I am temporarily caught up with Hop prize correspondence and so I have a card to share!
I love the look of monochromatic cards, but don't make them often. This fabulous cat image stamped in black and heat embossed gives this otherwise plain card a bit of shine.....which of course you can't see in the photo!! Ha. The dry embossed background gives some interest, too.
Yes,
the post you and your cats have been waiting for is FINALLY here!!!!
YAY!!!
Did you appreciate having the extra four days for commenting? I liked it and I hope it was helpful to you, too. I visited every single project except for one on FB that seemed to have a broken link. I loved them all!!! As Hop Honcho, it is
an honor and privilege for me to be able to leave personal comments on
each entry. I love that our Hop is growing.......but selfishly I hope it never gets so big that I
can't visit and read each post.
Wasn't
this a fantastic hop???? I deeply appreciate every single one of our
lovely Hoppers and all the kind comments you have left for me about our
Hop. We had 94 participants (up from 75 last year)that signed in from 17 countries (up from 15 last year), including 37 first-time hoppers (up from 27 last year).
WOW!!! Everyone did such a great job leaving wonderful comments and
making projects. The caliber of your cards and projects was totally
amazing!
And
it is so cool that more and more papercrafting companies are including
kitty products in their CAT-alogs for us to drool and make happy feet
about. 😻😻😻 Many of those companies sponsored us this year. I am so
very grateful for their support. We had 44 fabulous sponsors this year (up from 41 last year)with a total of 60 prizes (up from 53 prizes last year)!! I wish I had a prize for every single person, but I am thrilled to have 60 prizes for 94 Hoppers!! THANK YOU, SPONSORS!!! 💟💟💟

TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE: 1. Please send me an email ASAP to claim your prize: jwoolbright at gmail dot com. 2. Please put "WINNER 2021 Cat Lovers Hop" in Subject. 3. In body of email, please tell me what sponsor AND prize you won. 4. If you won a physical prize (rather than a digital set or gift code) please include your snail mail address. 5. If you don't hear from me within three days, please send me a note again! lol...
I again want to thank my Helpful Hoppers/Guest Designers for the way they really jumped in and gave such cheerful support and help: Karen Ladd, Alex (Pink Crafty Mama), Christi Conley, and NanaConnie. If any of the rest of you are interested in helping out for next year, do not tell me right now!! lol.... Write to me next August or September. That's when I will be going totally nuts and have a better idea of what help I need!!! Ha.
How did it work for you to have an extra four days for commenting this year? Did it encourage you to hop around a little more than usual. Meaningful comments really make our day, don't they?
A little secret: Hoppers who comment a lot almost always win prizes because the pool of comments is smaller than the pool of project submissions. Half of the prizes go to commenters and sometimes I am hard-pressed to find a comment from someone who hasn't already won a prize!! So keep that in mind for next year!! lol... Shhhhh.....
A couple of years ago I had a Feedback Form that many of you dear Hoppers filled out. It was EXTREMELY helpful to me to see what you all liked and what was
working...or not working. Although I am not making a separate post for
feedback this time, I still very much appreciate any comments you have
on the Hop and suggestions for making it better.
That wraps up the 2021 Cat Lovers Hop. I hope you have enjoyed it! THANK YOU for your very kind comments of appreciation. They mean a lot to me. The Hop is a lot of work, but I love doing it.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo
...... If I have not dropped dead or been committed to a mental institution in a
complete state of hysteria by next year, I hope to be hosting the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop next October. As always, the Hop is scheduled for the last full week of October, so the dates will be: October 24-29, 2022. Hope to see you then, if not before!!!
but you can still leave comments and win prizes!! THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO
COMMENT ON PROJECTS
AND TO
PLAY IN THE DAILY GAMES!!
If you have not finished commenting,
please make sure to SIGN IN HERE(required to be eligible for prizes) and then go to the Main Hop Page to find the linked-up projects to visit.
Leave comments to be eligible
for the prize drawings!!!
Hi, Friends.....
Welcome to the Wrap-Up Day for our 2021 Cat Lovers Hop. TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO COMMENT ON PROJECTS AND TO PLAY IN THE DAILY GAMES. I know a number of you have already finished....but I haven't!! lol...
The project Link-Up closed on Saturday, Oct. 30, but to give as many of you as possible a chance to comment on the projects I kept comments open several extra days. Comments close at 11:59 pm Pacific today, Wednesday, Nov. 3rd.
You also have through today to participate in the Daily Games that you will find on each of last week's posts. Each day's game comes with a special opportunity to win the wonderful digital image of the day from Ike's Art! So if you have not caught up on the Daily Games, this is the day to do that!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SUPER COMMENTER PRIZE DRAWING: If you manage to make it all the way through the Link-up and comment on every single project, you can link up your name at the bottom of this post to be in the special drawing for the Super Commenter Prize.
NOTE: I realize that some are not members of all the different platforms (FB, IG, Flickr, SCS, etc) where our Hoppers might post projects and will not be able to comment on those projects. You can still qualify for the Super Commenter drawingIF YOU MENTION IN THE COMMENTS BELOW which platforms you are not a member of, but that you commented on EACH of the other projects.
VERY IMPORTANT: To be eligible for the Super Commenter prize, you MUST comment on all the projects AND link up your name in the linky tool below.
I have several more things to talk about before I wrap up the Wrap-Up Post! lol...
1. Many of you have missed a long-time Hop regular, our cat-loving friend Sue D this year.
We all have admired Sue's craft fair projects in the past...wonderfully creative key chains, altered notebooks, little cat purses, etc. Sue is doing fine, but her dear hubby has been very ill with Covid. He is just recently home from the hospital after an extended stay and is slowly improving. Sue hopes to be able to stop in to the Hop and make a few comments before the day is out. I hope she can. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her husband for his full recovery. ❤
2. Do you already own some of the prizes that our amazing sponsors are offering this year?
I listed all the sponsors and prizes on the Main Hop Page and asked Hoppers to mention in the comments if they already own the prize. I TRY not to award a prize to a Hopper that they already have....but I can't guarantee I will always catch your comment, especially if it is anywhere other than under that post! Some Hoppers have told me on the Daily Posts that they already have one of the featured sponsor prizes, but please I NEED THAT INFO on the Main Hop Page. Thank you.
3. I am confused. Do you want to be in the drawings for digis or not?
Some of you are sending me mixed messages! So maybe we are both confused!! LOL... I understand that not everyone uses digital images for one reason or another. That's why one of the questions on the Sign-In page is whether you wish to be considered for digi prizes or not.
Here's the problem: Some of you who say "No digis, please" still sign up for the daily digital prize from Ike's Art. I don't know quite what to make of that. Either you have decided that the particular digi is sooooo cute that you actually DO want that image....or you are confused about what the Daily Game link-up is for. Additionally, some people link up to the Daily Game linky but do not answer or participate in the game! I try to be clear with my instructions, but I see some changes need to be made.
FYI....This is how I handle this situation: When I run random.org for those who linked up for the Daily Games, I check to make sure the lucky winner actually commented and answered the question of the day....or at least tried! :) If they did, I assume they DO want the prize whether or not they said "No digis, please" on their Sign-In.
4. Gift Codes, International Shipping, Digital Images, and Physical Prizes.
On the Sign-In page, one of the questions I ask is what country you live in. Some of our lovely sponsors can only afford to reliably ship physical prizes within their own country, so they offer gift codes that can be redeemed from anywhere in the world. But there is still the problem of the winner paying for the high cost of international shipping.
My solution is this: If you are drawn as the lucky winner of a gift code to a company that is not in your country, I will check to see if you said "Digis Okay" when you signed in and then check to see if that company offers digis. If they do and you are okay with digis, I will award that prize to you. Otherwise, that prize will go to someone else and I hope your name comes up again for a prize that is acceptable. Naturally, you can use your gift code for any product (physical or digital) in the sponsor's online catalog, but this will give winners a "No shipping cost" option. ❤
Okay....speech over. lol...
That's all for the Wrap-Up Post. Finish up those comments and then link up below to be in the draw for the Super Commenter prize. Don't forget to tell me in the comments if you couldn't comment on particular platforms.
Thanks so much for all your great participation in this year's Hop. I hope you had as much fun as I did. I will get going on running all the random numbers.....it is quite a process with this many prizes!! Hopefully, I'll get the Winners Post up in a few days. Be watching for it!! See you then.
❤ Janis
I am taking a quick break from commenting on all the fabulous Cat Hop projects to post my October Rudolph Days card. I used a cutapart and background paper from an old Echo Park Winter Wishes collection.
When I was laying out my card, things were a bit too crowded on my regular A2 card size, so I leveled up to a 5x7 and that was perfect. I had room for the doily without covering up all the pretty polka-dotted background. I used letter stickers from the collection for the JOY sentiment. Yay!!
Supplies used include: Echo Park Winter Wishes collection Memory Box - Lindeman Snowflake die (retired) Doily, ribbon, foam snowflakes and sequins from stash
Not all of you use digis and have indicated that to me when you SIGNED IN.
I hope you will still participate in the Daily Games. You do NOT have
to participate in the digi giveaway to answer the Daily Game question
DAY 6 GAME: Tell Us Some Random Cat Trivia That We Might Not Know (This is another great topic from Helpful Hopper, Christi, who is a veritable cat fact encyclopedia!!! Here's what Christi says about this topic: My friends know that I know A LOT about cats; I’ve read a
ton of books on them, mostly trying to figure out their behavior.My brain is full of random cat knowledge, so
I want to know...Do you know any random cat facts?)
I'll go first.....
As I have mentioned...at our house, we really like Siamese cats (and especially Siamese X) and we have learned quite a bit about them....of course it helps that my hubby is a veterinarian! ❤
One interesting thing about Siamese is that their eyes tend to be "wired" differently than most cats. Instead of the nerves of the eyes crossing over to the opposite side of the brain, Siamese are prone to having less of that crossing. Their eyes have more connections wired to the same side of the brain. The result: they have crossed-eyes...to compensate.
Crossed eyes used to be seen quite frequently in Siamese. A lot of that tendency has been bred out now, but there is still a higher percentage of the "same-sidedness" in Siamese than in other breeds.
This is how to play the Daily Game to be eligible for the prize drawing: 1. Make sure you have SIGNED IN HERE to be eligible for prizes. 2. Leave a comment with your Kitty Trivia. I am really looking forward to reading these! 3. After you finish your comment: if you want to be in the drawing for the prize, fill out your (own) name in the link up below. This doesn't have any thumbnails so no photo needed! You don't even need a blog!!! This is for everyone!!!
NOTE: The Daily Game link ups will be open the entire duration of the Hop, including the extra days for comments. Entries need to be in by 11:59 pm Pacific, Wednesday Nov. 3, 2021 to be eligible for the daily prize.
So you have more than just today to comment and link up. I realize that
not everyone has access to a printer or likes to use digis, so I am
still keeping the link up gadget to make sure the digi prizes go to
winners who can use them. But I am hoping EVERYONE will participate in
answering the questions whether they are putting their name in for the
prize or not.
Okay, now it is your turn to amaze your friends and confound your enemies with your cat trivia.......and get those last projects finished and posted because TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO LINK UP PROJECTS!!! But you will still have through next Wednesday, Nov. 3rd, 11:59 pm Pacific to finish up your commenting.
REMEMBER: Link your cat-themed projects over on the Main Hop Page. (Please use #2021CatLoversHop
on social media!!)
Thank you sooooooooooo much for being a
part of the 2021 Cat Lovers Hop. Your excitement and participation
has been such a joy! Now get that last project linked up and finish leaving your comments and next Wednesday, Nov. 3 will be the Wrap-Up Post. I will
see you then!!
🖤
