Chaienne 2001-2018 |
The last couple of days were so heartbreaking as she had little strength even to hold her head out of her food dish. We knew it was time to let her go and were prepared to have my hubby put her down, but she died naturally at age 16-1/2 years. There is an emptiness without her here, even though we are comforted knowing we did all we could for her.
Thank you for sharing my sadness with me.

Cats are a dear part of our lives and I know the emptiness losing one creates. Thinking of you and your hubby during this difficult time. She was blessed to have you in her life!
ReplyDeleteSending you big hugs for your loss. Think of how fortunate Chaienne was to have had the wonderful home you provided for her during her long life, and it will help ease your pain in due time. You gave her the best kind of love she deserved :)

ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss. We have suffered through illness and loss with many fur babies and I know your heartache. Your baby is at peace. You will see her again.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry. The loss of our fur babies is tough! Hang on to the good memories. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are with you! I am so sorry! What a beautiful kitty! It sounds like she had a long and wonderful life with you and; prayers to you both!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your sweet photo of Shy-Cat with us, and for letting us express our sympathy at her loss. These pets of ours have a way of weaving into our lives in such a way that they leave a huge hole when we lose them. For the first time in nearly 30 years we are without a cat, and it's taken a long time for me to stop looking for Teddy in the side yard. I'm sure that you will feel Shy's presence in your house as well, for a long long time. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry and sad to read your news. Hoefully happy memories will replace the sadness in time. Big hugs xx
ReplyDeleteJanis, I am so sorry to hear about sweet little Shy-Cat! I know that my dear Felix will be waiting to meet her at the rainbow bridge! There are no words to describe the feeling after losing a pet who has lived a long and wonderful life beside you for all those years. As sad as it is,that's the way it's supposed to be. They come into our lives for a very short time so that we love and care for another kitty ready to take their place. The heart holds no bounds. I'll be thinking about you both, and your kitty Shy-Cat! Take Care, my friend!
ReplyDeleteso sorry for your loss. It is never easy.
ReplyDeleteOh Janis, I am so sorry. This is always so hard. We lost our cat over 2 years ago (he was 21) and we still miss him. They so become a part of the family. So very sorry...hugs
ReplyDeleteVery big hugs Janis... She will be still with you...
ReplyDeleteShy cat was such an icon worldwide for 2017 for the kitty hop! She'll always be remembered - so sweet sweet sweet. xxx
I'm very sorry for your loss. I understand you and how painful it is because it's been a month when our cat pet died and through the pet euthanasia we gave them peaceful sleep not to suffer anymore from the pain.
