Hi, Friends.....
Quick post to get this pretty butterfly card in under the wire at Mrs. A's Butterfly Challenge. I've been busy with Cat Hop things and also fighting a nasty cold....so I put off making this card. Arrrgh...that's why I am posting it in the middle of the night!! lol....
Mrs. A gave us several color options (wheat, wisteria, watermelon, and wild blue yonder), a theme (wood), and a window card fancy fold option. Guess what???? I managed to find some fabulous Graphic 45 paper in my stash that had all 4 colors! I used a big wooden butterfly and made the window card design.
I got the card nearly finished and realized the big butterfly was actually chipboard and not wood at all. Oh, NO!!! So I found some pretty flower/butterfly embellishments that Mrs. A had sent me once in a lovely prize. I am fairly sure they ARE wooden. I stained them to match the color of the chippie and added them, too. Whew!!
The Happy Birthday ribbon is some I made with my label maker. I received this label maker as part a big stash-pruning prize a long time ago. It came with a bunch of different tapes....and a number of them are printable ribbon. This is the first time I have been brave enough to try custom printing a ribbon embellishment. Fun!!
Supplies used include:
Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection
Southern Ridge Trading Co - big chipboard butterfly
Wycinanka - little wooden butterfly and flower embellishment
Distress Ink
Custom printed ribbon
Hope you like my card. I love how it turned out.....even though it is the wrong season. I will save it for spring. :) Thank you for stopping by!!
❤
Janis
