------Sir Walter Scott
Hi, Friends......
I'm here with a quick post while Little Peach is gone with Grandpa and Uncle James. This is for the MFP Inspiration Challenge with the theme of Luau Wedding Tables.
Here's the inspiration photo I drew from:
Pretty, isn't it?
Here's my card:
I just got these pretty Bazill Buttons on JoAnn clearance the other day. LOVE them!! I knew I wanted to string them on a banner, but didn't know I'd use them this soon! The little gold heart circles are David Tutera. Securely attaching these buttons to my card was a challenge, since they have a shank on them. But I glued the ones on each end with a big dollop of Alene's Jewel-It glue. This is my very favorite liquid glue! Those buttons aren't going anywhere!!!
I made my greeting using emboss resist on watercolor paper. After stamping and embossing, I scribbled over the top of it with my Cotton Candy Gelato. I rubbed it in with my finger and then wiped off the excess with a baby wipe. I really like the soft look. A few sequins finished everything up.
That's all for now.....
Hope you all are having a very lovely start of the week.

How pretty is this banner - so different and fun! You totally captured the feel of that table and your card is really special! The buttons and bling are super great ideas. Thanks for joining us in the MFPSpeedyTV Inspiration challenge - hugz!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!! The banner is my favorite part of the card. I think I would have done the greeting banner differently if I were redoing it, but there's always another card.... :)

This is so elegant and striking...and that banner is really unique! The blue, gold and white makes for such an beautiful card...wow! Thanks for the tip on which adhesive you used for those buttons...I always wonder about details like that because I can't seem to get buttons to stay put for the life of me!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Karen!!! It can take quite a good-sized dollop of the Jewel-It depending on the button, but I have never had it let go. I think the secret is that it stays flexible (and therefore very slightly sticky) when dry. Anything else around here dries out too much in our low humidity and things just pop off. :&

Yikes, I actually have some Jewel-It that I never use! I have got to give it a try and maybe I'll be adding buttons to everything from here on out! Thanks so much for the push in the right direction.
DeleteHehehee......in our deep, dark, fathomless stashes, we probably have nearly every product ever made!!! I am constantly amazed at what I keep finding in my stuff......like those old Marvy Markers!! Ha.
