Leafy Wreath Thanks

Hi, Friends......

I am back with one more entry for the Winnie & Walter Rerun Challenge #39 - Framed with Evelin T DesignsI don't own this set, so I drew inspiration from Crystal's lovely wreath card HERE.

I also was inspired by the Winnie & Winnie May Color Challenge with this lovely palette:

https://www.blog.winniewalter.com/2018/05/may-color-combo-with-heather-h-challenge.html

I cut my card base into a scalloped circle and added leafy elements and the layered sentiment die cuts over one of my leftover Easter egg dye backgrounds.  I added a couple of sweet birds for fun.

I also am entering this into the Unstampabelles - 1-2-3 Challenge.  I have used 1 word for the sentiment, 2 birds, and 3 each of the gold leaves and green leaves.  It has been great fun using Susan's formula for her wonderful no-stamping challenge this month.

Products used include:
Winnie &Walter - In a Word: Thanks Cutaway die
Sizzix - Circles, Scallop die set
Verve - Sprightly Sprigs die set
Memory Box - Resting Birds die set
Leftover Easter egg die background
Scraps from stash

Hope you like this sweet card.  I had so much fun making it.....feels great to be creating again.  Thank you for your lovely comments!!!

Sunny and Splashy Happy Birthday

Hi, Friends......

I have been totally out of my groove on challenges for a couple of months, but I didn't want to miss out on submitting an entry into this month's Winnie & Walter Rerun Challenge! The Rerun set this month is Framed with Evelin T Designs. I don't own this set so I got inspired by the sunny and watery colors on the fabulous card made by Shay (HERE).

I used one of my watercolor marker refill water backgrounds for this card.

(I know...I am weird. Most people throw away their kids' old Crayola markers that haven't been used in years!! Not me. I stand all the similar colored markers together tips down in a jar containing a half inch or so of water to let them rehydrate and recharge. The intensely colored water that is leftover is used to make these backgrounds. LOVE!!!)

Products used include:
Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Happy Cutaway die
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Happy stamp set
Versafine ink - Onyx Black
Watercolor marker refill water background
Canson - Mixed Media Paper Spiral Bound Notebook
Scraps from my stash
Tonic Studios - Nuvo Crystal Drops

Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your kind comments so much!

Happy Kitty ATC

I think I have posted this one before.  It reminds me of my sweet Jetta who sleeps curled up on my pillow at night.  Unlike this kitty who appears to have his own pillow, Jetta takes over the one I use and only leaves about 2 inches on one edge for me!  I love her anyway.  <3

Hi, Friends......

I made a batch of ATCs after my ATC BD celebration to send with prizes.  I stamped and heat embossed (one of my favorite techniques!!!) all over one of my bright purple and hot pink leftover Easter egg dye backgrounds and then cut it up for my ATCs.  FUN!!!

Here's one I made with an adorable puffy sticker from a set that Christi Conley sent me with some sweet BD gifts and ATCs.  (THANKS, Christi!!!)  If I get motivated, I might post one or two of the others from this same background batch that have different images.

Products used include:
Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Happy Cutaway die
Inkadinkadoo - Umounted Doilies (Pinterest image, set is discontinued)
Prima - Doorway stamp
Prima - Messy stamp
Prima - Seamstress stamp
Distress Inks in Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, and Hickory Smoke
Clear embossing powder
Canson - Mixed Media Paper Spiral Bound Notebook
Scrap of DCWV cardstock

Hope you enjoyed my ATC.  Thank you for stopping by today!!

May Mother's Day Card with Big Bow

Hi, Friends......

Still catching up on blogging Mother's Day cards while it is still May.  I got into a purple Graphic 45 frenzy and made a whole stack of cards using the fabulous vintage designs from this same Place in Time collection.  Swoon!!!

Here's the Mother's Day card that we gave to hubby's mom.  I loved this large corner design off of the May sheet but wasn't quite sure if it would work by itself on a card because of its size.  I took the plunge and went for a square format to let the background show.  I topped it off with pearls and a big shimmery bow and really like how it turned out. This square card was hand delivered so it didn't need special care in packaging or extra postage.  Yay!!

I am entering this no-stamping card in the Unstampabelles 1-2-3 challenge:  I used 1 word ("May"), 2 panels  (G45 focal and purple background), and 3 pearls.

Products used include:
Graphic 45 Place in Time collection
DCWV scrap for purple background panel
WRMK Crop-a-Dile Corner Chomper
Want 2 Scrap - Adhesive Pearls
Distress Ink in Walnut Stain for distressing panel edges
Shimmery purple ribbon from stash

Thank you for stopping by!!  I hope your weather is as lovely where you are as it is here.  So many are experiencing some severe storms......or even volcanoes!!  Stay safe if you are in those areas.

Quilted Mother's Day

Hi, Friends.......

While it is still May, I will share a Mother's Day card that my pastor had requested for his mom who is a quilter.  I happened to have recently received this lovely quilt stamp set as a prize from Mary at Cardz-TV (THANKS, Mary!!!)......which was perfect for the card.  The sentiment is from a Unity grab bag.  In true quilting tradition, this card is made largely from scraps.  The dry embossing gives it a quilted look.

Products used include:
Cardz-TV - Quilted with Love stamp set
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Stitched Square STAX die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Versafine Ink in Smokey Gray
Unity sentiment from Sadie Girl {a mama's heart}
Scraps from my stash
Darice - Interlocking Circles
Love the clean crisp lines of this card and the homey quilted texture. Hope you like it, too! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your nice comments!!

Christmas Card Using Stickers

Hi, Friends.......

I am here with my May Rudolph Days card for Scrappy Mo's challenge.....don't want to miss that each month!!!  I am still getting things back into some kind of order around here since my Dad's memorial service last week.  Fortunately, I had made this card awhile ago to be ready for this week!

I had these stickers from an older Echo Park - Winter Wishes collection, so I thought I would use them for a fun and whimsical but still slightly masculine Christmas card.   I added a little bit of sparkly glitter for snow, as well as some of those weird snowflakes I am trying to use up...7 points on one of them!!  Whaaaat???  :)   I combined the soft flocked ones with some from the sticker set.   No stamping, either....Yay!

I am also entering this in the 1-2-3 Unstampabelles Challenge.  I used 1 sticker set, 2 different kind of snowflakes, and 3 background colors (purple, midnight blue, and white).

Products used include:
Stickers all  from 1 Echo Park collection (Winter Wishes)
DCWV scraps
Dollar Store glitter
Strange snowflakes from my stash

Thank you for stopping by!  I appreciate your visits and comments.  I actually have made several cards lately and will try to get them blogged soon.
