Hi, Friends......
The month of August had me hard at work lining up sponsors for the 2022 Cat Lovers Hop. Have you checked out my sidebar to see our list of fabulous sponsors??!! I am so very grateful for their generosity and support of our Hop!!
So I am squeaking in on the last day with a quick snippets card for August Rudolph Days. I took a break from Hop work and made a bunch of strips-o-scraps backgrounds with bits of old Christmas cards and holiday patterned paper. I really like this black/gray/red combo. I also used snippets for the NOEL die cuts.
Then.... I uncovered (to my horror) an entire bag of dollar store foam stars!! Oh, dear. Just as I was finally using up the last of my weird 7-pointed foam snowflakes, I find stars!!! lol.... The bag has four colors.....gray, yellow, silver, and gold. I thought the gray ones would look okay on this background. To my delight, I find that I like the festive look!!
Supplies used include:Winnie & Walter - In a Word: Noel Cutaway die
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Stitched Oval STAX die set
QuicKutz - Retro Diamonds embossing folder
Snippets of vellum and patterned and solid cardstock
Well.....that finishes things up for August. One post. Ha.
But we have around 44 sponsors for the Cat Lovers Hop in October!!! Yay!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to get your claws sharpened and ready for the Cat Lovers Hop. You can make your projects early as long as you don't post them until after the Hop begins. :)

Your cards look great with the recycled background strips. This would be a good entry for the recycled Christmas card challenge group on Facebook!
ReplyDeletei always say I should try to enter a card into the cat lovers challenge but unsure if I have a cat themed kit made up...but I will check.
Thanks for taking part in the Rudolph Days Challenge.
Ooh, I love that strip card base in red, gray and white, and the vellum oval behind the sentiment is a wonderful touch. Had to laugh about your finding a baggie of foam Dollar Store stars..but now you have a new goal for the rest of the year. Stars are probably easier than 7 sided snow flakes to use up, as you can use stars all year round.
ReplyDeleteLove how you have recycled the card with the strips and thanks for joining us at Augusts Rudolph Days Challenge, luv Sam x
