Hi, Friends......
I am here with a few easy Christmas in July cards I made using stickers from my stash. Do you have Christmas stickers that are neglected, too? This is a great time of year to get them out and make some cards with them. Dare I say....actually use them up???? lol.. It's easy to make a whole pile of pretty cards with little effort and use up scraps besides! :)
Maybe you have plenty of stickers, but are flummoxed when you try to use them. My cards are not exactly shining examples, but I follow these easy steps:
1. Choose the sticker you wish to use.
2. Use a die cut (or die cuts) to frame it. Let the style be your guide.
3. Choose a coordinating background and, if desired, a sentiment.
4. Add stamping or other embellishments to the background, if desired.
For these cards, I used some lovely vintage stickers that my crafty pal, Karen Ladd, gave me quite some time ago. (THANKS, Karen!!) This sticker sheet contained several angels and several bundles of holly. I chose the angels for this project since they are all wearing hats and Jo's Christmas Kickstart Challenge is Hatty Christmas this fortnight. :)
I knew I wanted to use a variety of warm golden patterned papers, so instead of Christmas scraps I grabbed my autumn scrap box. I die cut a fancy Spellbinders vintage frame that fit the sticker in size, shape, and style. I added another fancy die cut behind it. I added stamping to the background.
Each of the four cards has slight differences. Some of the stickers have a tiny greeting on them, so I did not add another sentiment. I stamped on some of the backgrounds and left one blank. I also varied the embellishments....sequins, confetti, Nuvo drops.....or nothing at all.

Hi, Friends......
I am here with a couple of quick and pretty thank you cards. I had this patterned paper already cut into A2 sized background pieces, so all I needed to do was add a doily, a thanks diecut, and some fun felt flowers. Easy peasy! Some rhinestones and sequins add a bit of sparkle.
I am entering this in the current MFT Color Challenge. Here's the inspiration palette they gave us:
My colors are a bit more subdued with a slightly vintage look, but I hope they are close enough.
Here's my second card.....
Supplies used include:
Winnie &Walter - In a Word: Thanks Cutaway die - retired
Doodlebug - Mini Doilies
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set - retired
K&Co., DCWV, and Core'dinations patterned paper and cardstock scraps
Felt Flowers from stash
Prima flowers
Sequins and Rhinestones from stash Thank you for stopping by today. I hope all of you in the USA are getting ready for a safe and happy Independence Day!! Our tiny community has an old-fashioned 4th of July Picnic each year.....fun for everyone!

Hi, Friends......
It's Rudolph Days time again over at Scrappy Mo's and (as usual) I am squeaking in on the last day! :) I am also making an entry in Jo's Christmas Kickstart Tag-Along Challenge with this card. There's still nearly a week to go on that one, so you still have time to make a card and have a chance at a cool prize! Yay!
I also am entering this card in the As You Like It - Digi or Rubber and Why
Challenge where they ask us which form of stamp we prefer. I, again,
vote for rubber. This time it is for a different reason. I keep all my
scraps of paper and cardstock and when I want to stamp a little
sentiment....as I did on this card....I love being able to snag the
right size piece out of my scrap bag and make a little sentiment panel.
It's hard to print out digis on scraps!
Are you like I am with loads of 12 x12 patterned paper....some with quite large prints? I am always trying to think of ways to use those oversized, but adorable images. This week I got out my Gina Marie quilt die to see if I could make a picture quilt by doing some inlaid die cutting.
I am still experimenting, but this was my first attempt. What do you think? Does the white "framework" between the pieces break up the design too much? I tried a darker solid, but that didn't look too great. Hmmmm.... I have another one I made, too, that I will post later. But I am interested in your opinions and suggestions.

Hi, Friends........
I am here with an anniversary card to share today. This was a special request and I knew which background I wanted to try out. I often make my "Strips-o'-Scraps" backgrounds with strips of a variety of patterned papers glued onto solid cardstock. But today I am introducing my "Lots-o'-Dots" scrap background. :)
I have sooooooooooooo many scraps of pretty papers and I got this idea of punching them with my 1" hole punch for a fun background. You can use a circle (or other shape) die for this, too, but nothing knocks out a pile of scraps faster than punch-punch-punch. This proved to be a great way to burn through a whole bunch of odd-shaped pieces in my scrap bags. It was totally addicting to watch my wastebasket fill up with the narrow frameworks of the leftovers!! (Did it make a dent in my scrap bags???? No....but it was loads of fun!!! Ha.)
I used a fun flamingo image and really love how the circles in the background echo the curvy necks and round bodies of the birds. I colored the flamingos to coordinate with the pink background.....which took some creative blending of two different Spectrum Noir markers since they don't have this color of pink. I think I matched it pretty well. I added some white accents with a gel pen.

Hope you liked this fun card!! Thank you so much for stopping by today.
We have reverted back to our chilly rainy weather and I might need to build a fire in the woodstove tonight. Brrrr! It's supposed to warm up and be nice again for July 4th, though. Yay!

Hi, Friends....
Just getting around to posting the card I gave my hubby for Father's Day. I used a sweet owl couple image from Unity because we share a particular fondness for owls...esp Great Grays. The stamp is a red rubber miscut I got in a Unity grab bag. The original stamp has 3 owls on it, but I like having the two together....so I didn't mind receiving a mistake!
I didn't color the owls on my card like Great Grays, but they are our favorites. These fabulous owls are common in our area, but can be rare finds for many birders. I am on an Inland NW Bird email list and each year I alert the group when our owls arrive in the spring and detail where I have seen them. People travel to our area from several states away just to see our Great Grays. They are by length (but not by weight) the largest owls in the world and are amazingly tame. They will sit on a fence post in the early morning or evening hours when the sun is low and seem not the least bit concerned if you stop your car near them and roll down the window to observe them....or quietly get out of the car and watch them from a moderate distance away. They are soooooooo humongous and gorgeous!! We are blessed to have them here.
I am entering this card in the As You Like It - Digi or Rubber and Why Challenge where they ask us which form of stamp we prefer. Well, for me, it is a definite vote for rubber. I am not adept at using digis at all and my printer and I are often not on speaking terms! I love the versatility that rubber stamps give me for using different media and different inks. I also really like the organic connection I feel with the art by the simple acts of inking up and stamping.
I stayed mainly with blacks, browns, and grays for a masculine look. I masked off the edges, stenciled, blended distress inks on a kraft card base for a one layer card. I colored the owls with my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.
Supplies used include:
Unity - 3-"Who"-lagins (mfr miscut...only contains two owls)
Cardz-TV - For the Birds stamp set
Tsukineko - Memento Ink
Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers
UmWowStudio - Checker Board stencil
Distress Inks in Black Soot and Walnut Stain
Hope you liked my owl card. Hubby loved it, of course. 💟🦉🦉🦉
Thank you for stopping by today!!
