Hi, Friends......
Here I am with the second of the fairy cards I made for Mrs A. over at the Butterfly Challenge. Her butterflies were cocooned up for December, but they are about ready to emerge. Until then, her challenge is alive with fairies, elves, gnomes, and pixies....but this is the last day!!! Eeek....better get this blogged and linked up!!! :)
The Graphic 45 - Once Upon a Springtime is my go-to fairy collection.....so charming and enchanting!! This time I added some layered Prima flowers and did something super-scary. I gave the shimmering sheer ribbon of my bow a permanent wave by carefully warming it with my heat gun. Whew!!....I didn't scorch it. Love how it turned out!! However, I don't recommend this technique for the faint of heart or for those prone to burning themselves! :)
Products used include:
Graphic 45 - Once Upon a Springtime collection
Doodlebug - Mini Doilies
Prima - Wildflower Mix
Tonic Studios - Nuvo Crystal Drops (for some flower centers)
Brads from stash (for some flower centers)
Sheer ribbon from stash
Hope you enjoyed this second fairy card. They both were a lot of fun to make. Thank you for stopping by today. Happy New Year.

Oh my goodness 3 fairies for the price of one. I love this card too. Thank you for popping by my challenge again. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and magical...love those gorgeous colors and your wonderful design! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHow is it that I've never seen this Graphic 45 collection anyway? I have fairy stamps but no fairy papers...so looks like I may need to get some of this! What a beautiful layered card and that sheer ribbon looks wonderful with its fancy wave!! I've straightened ribbon with my curling iron but never curled it with a heat gun...what a creative technique. Love how the brown mini doily picks up the brown tones in the illustrations for a beautiful vintage look!
ReplyDeleteits so very beautiful card!
