Hey, look.....I am actually getting a chance to share a project with you during Hop Week!! I am going to link this up in our 2021 Cat Lovers Hop Linky so you will come and see it, but nooooo I will NOT be in the drawings for the prizes. (I can just imagine it....."Well, looks like Hop Honcho won a big prize again this year!!" LOL!! That would be bad!)
Last year in October 2020, right before Hop, my little grandson Miles was born. He and his mommy live with us. What an adorable little "schedule destroyer" when I was trying to get ready for the Hop!! Well, this month he turned a year old and is now a "destroyer of everything"!! Ha. He is so cute, but his name should be Mister-Into-Everything!! ❤❤❤
For his first birthday I made a space-themed quilt for him. It's only a simple pieced-and-tied style quilt, but it was lovingly made by me...Grandma! Awwww... I have the corner folded back so you can see the planets on the flannel fabric of the reverse. LOVE!!
Naturally, I had to make a space-themed card to go with it. I used one of my old watercolored, sprayed, and splattered backgrounds that looked like a galaxy and put an adorable Newton astro-cat image on it. I added a couple of Dollar Store planet stickers in coordinating colors. I think it turned out so cute!!
Supplies used include Newton's Nook Designs - Cosmic Newton stamp set Spectrum Noir alcohol markers Memento Tuxedo Black Ink Various inks and sprays on Mixed Media paper for background Dollar Store stickers
Here's a shot of Miles enjoying his new quilt. Aawwwwwww! ❤❤❤
Thank you for stopping by to see my projects! I hope you will join us for the 2021 Cat Lovers Hop. The linkup for new projects closes 11:55 pm Pacific Sat. Oct. 30! But you still have through Wed. Nov. 3rd to comment and win prizes. Be sure to Sign-In HERE...REQUIRED to be eligible for the prizes. Sign-In is open through Wed. Nov. 3rd also. See you there!!
I totally understand the puzzlement of this little kitten. I have been experiencing the rapid disappearance of my just-typed text for these blog posts...along with stubbornly persistent font types, colors, sizes, and other formatting strangeness-es. No matter what I do to cancel out formatting I still end up with some of my post in different colors, etc!! Ha. I should have WARNING: TECH ILLITERATE on my blog!! Thanks for your patience as you wade through these lengthy mix and match posts!!! ❤
It
is Day 5......and have you looked at how many people have sign-in to be a part of the Hop this year????? As I write this, there are close to 90 total Hoppers and lots and lots of first-timers!! I am thrilled.

blog post HERE to find out more about her card and tell her thank you for Guest Designing!
I bet you are interested in how you can win this sweet digital image from Ike's Art! Well, read on..... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not all of you use digis and have indicated that to me when you SIGNED IN. I hope you will still participate in the Daily Games. You do NOT have to participate in the digi giveaway to answer the Daily Game question that lets us all get to know each other better. If you DO want to be in the digi prize drawing, be sure to link up your name each day that you participate!
Note: I doubt this really happened, but it is hilarious!!! :)
DAY 5 GAME: In a Room Full of "Identical" Cats, How Would You Identify Yours?
Isn't this a great topic that our Helpful Hopper, Christi, came up with? We all know there is not really any such thing as two completely identical cats, so tell us what makes your kitty unique.
I'll go first.......
We have 3 solid black short-haired kitties (plus Mistopheles, our 2021 Hop Badge Kitty who is long-haired and solid black). They are mostly easy to tell apart by size and because they have completely different body language. Othello is humongous...over 20 lb...so we would rarely confuse him with the smaller black lady cats: Jetta and Andromeda.
Jetta is 18 and her coat is well-flecked with white. She is hard of hearing and also doesn't see well, so she is easily startled and often stares wide-eyed at us as if she is trying to figure out who we are and if she should run under the bed.
Andromeda is half Jetta's age but looks quite similar except with fewer white flecks in her coat. She is an outside kitty who sneaks inside occasionally and sometimes escapes our notice because we think she is Jetta. It is not uncommon to hear somebody say..."Andromeda? How long have you been inside???" lol... She can't resist coming out of hiding and rubbing against our legs and then we discover her!
This is how to play the Daily Game to be eligible for the prize drawing: 1. Make sure you have SIGNED IN HERE to be eligible for prizes. 2. Leave a comment with your Unique Kitty Characteristics entry. I am really looking forward to reading these! 3. After you finish your comment: if you want to be in the drawing for the prize, fill out your (own) name in the link up below. This doesn't have any thumbnails so no photo needed! You don't even need a blog!!! This is for everyone!!!
NOTE: The Daily Game link ups will be open the entire duration of the Hop, including the extra days for comments. Entries need to be in by 11:59 pm Pacific, Wednesday Nov. 3, 2021 to be eligible for the daily prize.
So you have more than just today to comment and link up. I realize that
not everyone has access to a printer or likes to use digis, so I am
still keeping the link up gadget to make sure the digi prizes go to
winners who can use them. But I am hoping EVERYONE will participate in
answering the questions whether they are putting their name in for the
prize or not.
Okay, now it is your turn!!
REMEMBER: Link your cat-themed projects over on the Main Hop Page. (Please use #2021CatLoversHop
on social media!!) This link-up below is just to enter the drawing for
the Daily Game after you have commented with your Kitty entry for today.
Thanks!!!
Wow...only one more Cat Hop Day after today!!! I can't believe how this week has flown by. I am soooooooo behind on commenting, but I WILL visit each of you! If you don't have your 5 entries for the week linked up yet, be sure to do that because tomorrow (Saturday, Oct. 30) is the LAST day to link them up!!

I have another new sponsor for you to welcome today: Purple Onion Designs. They offer zillions of fabulous red rubber stamps. Here's what their website says about their products:
Purple Onion Designs continues to offer stamps in traditional red
rubber to capture the fine detail that many of the designs contain. Red
rubber inks up easily and will work with all types of inks on the
market. Clear stamps traditionally do not capture the same type of fine
detail as red rubber. They also can be difficult to use with certain
inks. These two qualities of our red rubber stamps will give you the
best stamped impression possible.
The images are not available digitally. Purple Onion Designs believes in preserving the art form of rubber stamping.

Helpful Hopper, Christi, has another fun Daily Game Topic for us today!
Christi is another friend who emailed me out of the blue offering to help with the Hop this year. It was before I was even sick with Covid, but she just wanted to be of assistance....so sweet!! ❤
I was in the middle of corresponding back and forth with all our dozens of fabulous sponsors and arranging prizes and asked her if she might come up with the Daily Game topics for me. She cheerfully accepted!!
This chore might seem like a small thing, perhaps, but coming up with interesting, engaging games takes creative thought and consideration. Before long she had a wonderful list with lots of ideas for me to choose from!! It was such a help and relief to me. I am so grateful for her willingness!! Thank you, Christi, so very much!! Oh, and Christi is the one who suggested I ask NanaConnie to Guest Design...what a genius idea!! 💡
DAY 4 GAME:What is the Funniest or Weirdest Trick Your Cat Does?
I'll start......
My cats are not into acrobatics or funny tricks, but they trick ME all the time. The outside ones who get to come in occasionally often clamor at the door this time of year to come inside where it is warm. They can tell by the squeak of the floorboards when we are going to the door to take something outside to the chickens or whatever. They race to the front or back door by running underneath the house!! A kitty will be near the window by the backdoor and either hear or see one of us going to the front door.....and as soon as you open that door, there is that SAME cat shooting through the door!! In seconds. They must have a racetrack underneath there! It is phenomenal how they can get there that fast. Little rascals!
This is how to play the Daily Game to be eligible for the prize drawing: 1. Make sure you have SIGNED IN HERE to be eligible for prizes. 2. Leave a comment with your Kitty Tricks. I totally love reading your creative verses!! 3. After you finish your Kitty Tricks comment: if you want to be in the drawing for the prize, fill out your (own) name in the link up below.
(Please use #2021CatLoversHop
on social media!!) This link-up below is just to enter the drawing for
the Daily Game after you have commented with your Kitty Tricks.
Thanks!!!
That's all for today. Keep making those awesome projects and leaving those wonderful comments! Also...keep thanking our fabulous sponsors. See you tomorrow for Day 5!
🖤 Janis
