March Rudolph Days - Season's Greetings

Hi, Friends......

Squeaking in here to put my March Rudolph Days card in for the month over at Scrappy Mo's.  Can't miss that!!

I used some scraps of soft vintage patterned paper and adhesive canvas tags I received as a blog prize a long, long time ago from Ria Montefalcon.  I don't even know if she is still blogging, but her kindness continues to be appreciated as I use these lovely supplies.

Let me take a moment to thank each of you who have sent me lovely gifts over the years.  Your generosity has warmed my heart and enriched my crafting experience by allowing me access to many products I would never have been able to afford to purchase.  In turn, I am able to bless others with the cards I make from them. THANK YOU.....all of you!!  <3

Supplies used include:
Making Memories - Fa La La Well Worn Tags (retired)
Winnie & Walter - Essentials:  Audrey Cutaways die set (retired)
Taylored Expressions - Twirls and Swirls (retired)
Patterned Paper Scraps and Solid Cardstock
Wired Ribbon from Stack

Hope you enjoyed this card.  Thank you for stopping by today!!  I hope spring is springing at your house.  My crocuses are blooming and my earliest daffodils will be soon.  There are still some traces of snow, but the weather is supposed to be warm and sunny this week......in the 50s and even hitting 60 degrees!  YAY!!

Tea-Themed Note Card Set

 Hi, Friends......

The Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop pulled me out of my posting absence to share a tea-themed notecard set I made using an ancient package of border wallpaper my daughter had given me a long time ago.  Perfect for cards.....but really how many of that same design do I need?  lol...   It ended up making 3 lovely sets I can give as gifts.

The border paper design was a little bit too wide for a regular A2 sized card, so I made these 5x7 instead....worked perfectly.  I have been wanting to use some of my larger scale pattern papers so I recently purchased a bunch of envelopes for this size of card.  They came in handy for these sets!

For my sets, I varied the card base colors, patterned papers, and sentiments for an assortment in each gift.  There is another sentiment that isn't shown that says:  Tea Time.

Here's one of the sets:

Supplies used include:
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Coffee & Tea stamp set (retired)
Impression Obsession - Serendipity Tea Time
Versafine ink in Majestic Blue
Spellbinders Small DOM March 2018 (retired)
Lawn Fawn - Large Stitched Rectangles die set
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Stitched Square STAX die set
Border wallpaper from my stash
Old patterned paper from my stash
Park Lane solid core cardstock

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you enjoyed seeing my note card gift set.  I felt really good to use some old patterned paper and also that pretty border paper.  All I have from it now are some scraps to use another time!  Yay!!

Have a great day and I'll see you over at the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop!

February Rudolph Days - December 25th

Hi, Friends......

I am here with my February Rudolph Days card.  This is a short month (and my BD is tomorrow....YAY!!) so I want to make sure I get this card done and blogged!!!  Can't miss a month if I want to be eligible for the special draw at the end of the year!  :)

Long ago, I received a sweet assortment of items from Pretty Little Studio.  Love their vintage pieces!!  In it were some pocket scrap items, including some fun old-time Christmas scenes.  I could never quite figure out what background to put them on.  I am not completely sure this background is the best, but I chose this layered "strips o' scraps" piece for this panel.  It makes for a very busy card, but I think I like it.  I added snowflakes and twine for finishing touches.

Supplies used include:
Pretty Little Studio Christmas pocket card
Date stamp
Scraps of old Christmas cards for my background
Twine and snowflakes from stash
Thank you for stopping by today.  Hope to see you over at Scrappy Mo's for Rudolph Days!!

Hooray! Turner Syndrome Hop Card 2

Hi, Friends......

I am here with another card for the 3rd Annual Turner Syndrome Awareness Hop hostessed by the lovely Lori Kobular and her beautiful daughter, Julie.  I have participated in this Hop for several years, but before that I had never heard of Turner Syndrome.

Here's a little of what I have learned about Turner Syndrome that I have cut and pasted from this informative page about Turner Syndrome HERE.

Girls and women with TS have 2-3 higher increase in risk of fractures.

I am inspired by the courage that these special gals display with the challenges they face!  So I made this Hooray card using some of the colors from the mood board.

Supplies used include:
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Hooray die

Patterned paper scraps
Decorative scissors

Hope you will join in the hop and make a card for this important event!  Thank you for stopping by today.

It's a Girl Thing - Turner Syndrome Hop Card 1

Hi, Friends......

I am here with the first of three cards I made for the 3rd Annual Turner Syndrome Awareness Hop hostessed by the lovely Lori Kobular and her beautiful daughter, Julie.  I have participated in this Hop for several years, but before that I had never heard of Turner Syndrome.

Here's a little of what I have learned about Turner Syndrome that I have cut and pasted from Lori's post:

Turner Syndrome is a genetic disorder where a female is born missing all or part of her second X chromosome leaving her with life-long medical issues and learning disabilities. This condition occurs one in 2,000 female births worldwide, but is more common among pregnancies that do not survive to full term. That is why Turner Syndrome Females are considered MIRACLES!

Since this syndrome only occurs in females, they have adopted the slogan "It's a Girl Thing".  Somewhere in the back of my mind, I thought I remembered a girly stamp set in my stash with that sentiment..... Voila!!  I was thrilled to find an older Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set had just what I was looking for!

Butterflies are also motifs for Turner Syndrome Awareness Events.  I found this stamped panel in my stash which I colored and embellished for my card.  I am not that great at coloring, as you can  see, but I still like these pretty butterflies.

Supplies Used Include:
Three Butterfly thrift store stamp
White Embossing Powder
Versamark Ink
Sakura Gel Pens
Sharpie Markers
Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps - It's a Girl Thing (retired)
Versafine Ink - Spanish Moss
Inspired by Stamping - Fancy Labels 3 Dies (retired)
Distress Ink - Victorian Velvet
Sequins from stash
Scraps from stash
Hope you liked my card and learned a little bit about Turner Syndrome at the same time.  Thank you for stopping by and I'd love to see you join in the Hop!
