Hi, Friends......

I am here with my third entry into the MFP Speedy TV Tutorial Challenge - Distress Ink Background.  As you can see, I was incredibly inspired by this challenge and really went to town making backgrounds and cards!!!

I don't know why I couldn't get a decently focused photograph of this card.  After taking nearly 20 shots that still were only marginal, I realized the ribbon veered westward as though it were heading off on a Pacific adventure!  Off came the ribbon for repositioning.  And the photographic efforts resumed.

Now the ribbon is located along I-5 in Oregon, instead of along Hwy 95 in Idaho, but at least it's not on I-84 in Oregon and Idaho!!!   I'm still not satisfied with the focus, either, but this is the best I could do!  Sheesh...

I again used the very fun tutorial that came with the challenge.  This time I used white cardstock and Distress Ink dauber in Worn Lipstick.  I can't for the life of me figure out which embossing folder I used......this happens when you use daubers instead of ink pads or refills.  Ha!  Still, I think it made a pretty background and I like it.....even though you can't really see it due to my photographic un-talent.  Ha.

Other supplies include:  Mrs. Grossman's Natural Art embellishment, Thank You stamp from my stash, Core'dinations cardstock, pink fabby shabby thrift store ribbon.

Got one more card besides this to squeak in under the wire for the challenge, so that's all for now!

  1. Another gorgeous card!! I share your pain over the photography problems as we all know how a bad photograph can make even a masterpiece look sad. Add to that a serious case of migrating ribbon and one might almost give up!! Glad you hung in there though because this is really pretty and the photo is just fine! Did you layer two different ribbons or did it come this way? Love the look of the silver and white over that frayed pink layer!

    1. Thank you, Karen. Yes, the ribbon is layered with the shimmery one glued down over the frayed pink one......which is where my problem lay when I couldn't get it straight!!! Ha. I think I need to make a shabby chic card with that frayed pink ribbon. I really like it.

    1. Thanks, Sue! I really don't have the greatest place for trying to photograph, anyway, so my cards are always lying down flat instead of being upright in one of those nice stands the big-time bloggers use. But, it is what it is. I'm lucky the photos turn out as well as they do!
