Hi, Friends.......
I was really inspired by the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Transparent. I immediately thought of the glass stamps from a set they sent me in a prize (THANKS, Simon Says Stamp!!!) [edited: I finally tracked this unlabeled set down: Kelly Purkey -- Cheers....and yes, I know they are actually champagne glasses....] and I decided to turn them into vases holding spring flowers.
Next I stamped the blossoms (Uniko Studio Flower Power #2) onto watercolor paper with the same StazOn ink. I colored around the margins of the petals with watercolor pencils and then used a wet paint brush to blend. Afterwards, I went around the outer edge of the center again with the petal colors. I colored all the centers yellow but didn't use a wet brush with them.
I used a Seal Gray Gelato for the shadow beneath the vases by scribbling in my palette and picking up color with a wet brush.
The foliage and stems are May Arts ribbon. I use this a lot!!!
I used my Xyron 1" Sticker Maker to adhere my vases over the stems that I lightly glued in place with Tombow glue pen. I love the sticker maker for transparent things like this acetate. It adheres them invisibly. Yay!!
A few stray leaves were stuck down with Micro Glue Dots. Then I adhered it onto a lavender card.
Here's a close-up at an angle so you can see the gleam of the acetate and a little of the dimension of the petals that I lifted slightly.
