Have a SUN-sational Day!

Hi, Friends,

I have been using some of my large patterned papers lately, and here are a couple more cards I made with some. I like the tropical surf theme for summertime masculine birthday cards, but didn't want to dress them up too fancy.

So I put some Glossy Accents on the surfboards and added a simple sentiment and photo corners. Quick and easy......and used up some old stash!! WIN! I couldn't decide whether I wanted to use a sunny yellow or jungle green.....so I made one of each. :) Which one do you like better? I think I like the yellow one.

Supplies used include:
DCWV patterned paper
Scrapbook-Adhesives - Photo Corners
Ranger - Glossy Accents
Cardz-TV - Summer Fun stamp set
Versafine ink in Onyx Black
Core'dinations/Darice cardstock

Hope this gives you ideas on dressing up patterned paper for quick and easy cards. I think these will make fun birthday cards for a young man. Thank you for stopping by today.

  2. WOW!! Two amazing masculine cards!!! Love both them! The surfboards look wonderful with the glossy!!

  3. They are both very nice silhouettes and love the sunburst in the paper. Thanks for sharing with us at Double Trouble and please come back and join us with other projects you have created, and love that you linked up with Lisa's Three Amigos goodbye challenge. But as you probably already know she will be working with the Caffeine Fueled Paper Players monthly challenge at the Coffee Lovers Cardmakers so hope to see you there and back at Double Trouble.

  6. Clever technique with the surfboards, Janis! I especially like the way you added the sunshine. Thank you for playing along at Double Trouble Challenge #34.

  7. I am just loving the way you're using the large patterned DCWV papers for card-making. This dude with his surfboard is the perfect focal point for a masculine summer card and I love the glossy accents. This takes me back to my college days when I lived two streets over from the beach!

THANK YOU so much for taking the time to leave a comment. Your kind words encourage me so very much!!!

Have a lovely day!
