More Masculine Cards - Graphic 45 "Good Ol' Sport" Collection

Hi, Friends......

Here's the other set of masculine cards I made using Graphic 45. This time it was the "Good Ol' Sport" collection. I stamped sentiments on the front of some them. Some have Father's Day greetings inside and others have all-occasion greetings.
Sentiment is from Altenew - Label Love stamp set

The tickets are from a border strip in the same G45 collection.

Sentiment is from a retired Simon Says Stamp - Kelly Purkey "Cheers" stamp set.

I used chipboard embellishments from the same Graphic 45 collection for the next two cards. The inside sentiments say "I'm Your #1 Fan!" from Unity.

This outside sentiment is from Technique Tuesday "Keep Smiling".
Supplies used include:
Graphic 45 "Good Ol' Sport" Collection
Altenew - Label Love stamp set
Simon Says Stamp - Kelly Purkey "Cheers" (retired)
Technique Tuesday - Keep Smiling stamp set
Unity Stamp Co. - I'm Your #1 Fan
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set - retired

Hope you liked this collection of masculine cards! Hope everyone spoiled the Dads in your life for Father's Day!!

You are Purr-fect

Hi, Friends.....

I am here with a cute little kitty card to share using a sweet Clearly Besotted stamp set that the lovely Di Wray gave me. (THANKS, Di!) I get asked to make children's cards and I think these adorable images are perfect for any occasion.

I colored the kitties and the embossed background with Prismacolor colored pencils using Gamsol to blend the colors. The patterned paper is old stash that I've had for years. I only partially dry embossed the oval background panel to make a delineation between the floor and wallpaper.
(Sorry for the shadow on this photograph!!  Ugh....)

Supplies used include:
Clearly Besotted - You are Purrfect stamp set
Tsukineko - Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black
My Favorite Things Die-namics - Stitched Oval STAX die set
Darice - Checkered embossing folder - retired
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set - retired
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set (has scallops) - retired Prismacolor colored pencils
Gamsol
Scraps of DCWV patterned paper and solid cardstock
Ribbon from stash

I hope you enjoyed these adorable little furry friends. Thanks for stopping by today.

"Love is Patient" Wedding Card

Hi, Friends.....

A friend asked me to make a wedding card for her to give to a young man who lives in our neighborhood and his new bride. She requested it be big.....half-fold size instead of my usual A2 quarter-fold size.....and she wanted it very fancy...and spiritual. I take quite a few orders for my cards and I try to make them special each time, but a wedding card is so super-special that I was feeling a lot of pressure and stress to make it meet expectations.

Additionally, the new couple got married a few weeks previously, so all my stamps that said "On your wedding day" or similar sentiments wouldn't really work. In fact, NONE of my usual wedding stamps really fit the bill for this order. Thank goodness for online suggestions!! I searched "Christian wedding card sentiments" and found a selection from 1 Corinthians 13, the Love Chapter.  I knew it would be perfect.

The friend requesting the card also made mention of a rainbow. For the life of me, I could not figure out how to use one on a wedding card! I finally decided to use silver and aqua with a rainbow assortment of flowers in very pale hues with satiny pearl centers for embellishments.

What do you think of it?

Here's an angled shot so you can see the gleaming silver. LOVE!!!

Supplies used include:
Scripture sentiment printed out from computer
Inspired by Stamping - Fancy Labels 3 Dies (retired)
Distress Oxide inks blended on edge of sentiment panel - Evergreen Bough and Tumbled Glass
Spellbinders - Nestabilities - 5x7 Reflective Moment die set
Verve - Sprightly Sprigs die set (retired)
DCWV patterned and silver foiled cardstock
Prima - Wildflower Mix
Miniature ribbon roses from thrift store
Want 2 Scrap - Adhesive Pearls
Silver doily from stash
Scrapbook-Adhesives - Photo Corners
Unity Grab Bag Flourish stamps (I'm not sure which sets these originally came from.)
Versamark ink
Ranger - Embossing Powder in silver

Hope you liked my card! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you are being able to venture out safely a little bit more than in the past few months.

We are still having very cool weather right now but warmer days are on the way. Can't wait to get back out in my garden again. Hope I can avoid being swallowed by all the weeds that have grown during this cool rainy period!! lol...

Masculine Cards - Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman"

Hi, Friends......

I haven't been posting much, but that doesn't mean I haven't been making cards! I just get bogged down with blogging sometimes. So to remedy that....I have decided I need to occasionally post small batches of cards together in one group. So I am doing that today.

With Father's Day just around the corner, I made a bunch of masculine cards to put in my box at church which supports the local crisis pregnancy center where I volunteer. Some of these have Happy Father's Day greetings inside and others are more generic so they can be used for any special occasion where a guy card might be desired.

Today I am sharing the ones I made with my Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman" collection. As with all Graphic 45 collections, these cards nearly make themselves. Hardly anything more is required than choosing which papers you want to coordinate with the cut apart panels! Easy peasy and so wonderfully vintage! It also burned through a bunch of black cardstock scraps for matting the panels. Yay!!

Some of my cards focus on apparel for the fashionable gentleman........

I added the chipboard "Dashing" tag from the same collection to this card.

The pocket watch was fussy cut from another sheet in this collection.

Inside sentiment says: "Hat's off to you!"

Some include examples of the cars you would expect such well-appointed gentlemen to drive.....

Supplies used include:
Graphic 45 "A Proper Gentleman" Collection
Scraps of solid cardstock for matting panels
Cardstock for card bases

Hope you enjoyed this little collection of masculine cards! Remember to get your Graphic 45 out and USE IT!! So fun and easy and fabulous!!

Horsey Happy Birthday

Hi, Friends......

I was recently asked by a young gal to make a horse-themed birthday card for her to give to a friend. I was excited for the chance to use my Bella Blvd Barnyard collection again.
(You might recall I recently used it for a chicken-themed sympathy card for a gal who had lost a bunch of her hens in a skunk attack.)

I used last week's sketch from MFT, but didn't get it in on time to enter. No matter. Here's the sketch so you can see how I interpreted it.

For my card, I was trying to figure out how to make the adorable pony die cut stand out and not just look like a giant horse perched on top of a hilly barnyard. (I guess that would make it a "PERCHeron"! Bwahaha.......)

I think a bit of vellum behind the piece brings the focus up to the front and sets it off just enough without obscuring the fun patterned paper behind it. I was tickled to find that a birthday sentiment from a NBUS stamp set fit just right on the cloud, also. Love that the horse seems to be looking at it! :)

Supplies used include:
Bella Blvd - Barn Yard 6x8 Paper Pad (retired)
Bella Blvd - Barn Yard Paper Pieces (retired)
Lil' Inker - Rainbows and Clouds
Elizabeth Craft Designs - Farm Greetings (NBUS)
Versafine ink in Smokey Gray
M&C Boutique - Large Circle Frame die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set - retired
Scraps of solid cardstock and vellum from stash

Hope you enjoyed this fun card.....and I hope it helps a special young horse lover have a great birthday!

Happy Thoughts - Craftartista's 3rd Blogaversary

Hi, Friends.....

I am here with a special card to help the lovely Mia at Craftartista celebrate her 3rd Blogaversary. Congratulations, Mia, you are awesome!!!

You can join in the fun, too, by making a creation using one of Mia's wonderful mandala digis that she has on her Freebies Page.

I used Mandala #15 with a previously made vivid orange watercolor marker refill background. Love this super-bright citrusy card....and I even got adventurous and added white accents with a gel pen! I adore how that made this card come alive. It is my new favorite way to embellish my coloring....esp for geometrics! Get your shades on and take a look:

Supplies used include:
Craftartista - Mandala #15 digitial image
Spectrum Noir markers
The Alley Way Stamps - Speak Easy stamp set (retired)
Versamark ink
WOW! Embossing Powder - Opaque Bright White Regular
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Audrey Cutaways die set (retired)
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set (retired)
Pretty Pink Posh - Sparkling Clear Mix sequins
Sakura - White Gel Pen

Do you like the bright colors? We've had a week of very gray, very wet weather and these colors really spoke to me.

Hope you will join in Mia's festivities for her 3rd Blogaversary!! Congratulations, again, Mia!!!
