Birthday Friends

Hi, Friends......

I am here with another birthday card that a friend asked me to make. I wish I had made two of these so I would have one to give away myself......I LOVE how this turned out!! :)

I stamped a sweet WaffleFlower image over one of my leftover Easter Egg Dye backgrounds and colored it with my Spectrum Noir markers. The pretty flower-patterned kitties of the WF Flora Cats series just make me so happy.

My purple background paper is from a very closely hoarded paper stack my crafty friend, Karen Ladd, sent me a year or two ago. (THANKS, Karen!!) I love the stitched details on the sheet!!

Supplies used include:
WaffleFlower - Flora Cat Play stamp set
Tsukineko - Memento ink in Tuxedo Black
Leftover Easter Egg Dye Background
Lawn Fawn - Large Stitched Rectangles die set
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Provo Craft - Paper Passport Blues and Purples Collage Pad
Core'dinations/Darice solid cardstock

Hope you enjoyed this little birthday pair on my card. Thank you for stopping by today!!

🖤
Janis

  1. Cute card, Janis. The stitched background paper is so pretty. I hope you've got enough of the background paper left to make one for yourself. xx

  2. Love the image you used, and you've colored it beautifully, too. I haven't tried an Easter egg die background, but it sounds like an interesting technique. Thanks so much for joining in on our latest challenge at Let's Craft and Create. Cheryl W, DT

  9. Oooh, this is such a fun and pretty card, and that stitched paper couldn't be more perfect. I love the WF Flora cat stamp set (and always tried to win one). The Easter egg dye background gives this scene a magical feel..and that kitty and mouse are just adorable. LOVE this one! You need to make several versions of it now that you know how sweet it turned out.
