Hi, Friends......

I am taking a quick break from working on my Cat Hop posts to share this Christmas card with you.  I am entering it in Jo's Christmas Kickstart - Woodland Creatures Challenge.  There's still almost a week to go, so you have time to make a card, too!!

I always love it when cardmakers use purple for their winter skies, but I usually forget to try it.  I had this leftover lavender-toned Easter egg dye background, though, so I stenciled falling snow and added a couple big snowflakes to make the backdrop for my gessoed deer chippy.  Pink for the snowy ground seemed right for this scene, too.

You might notice that almost every card I make uses Winnie & Walter dies with faux stitched borders.  This card also makes use of a Pink & Main stitched wave die.  I love faux stitching because it is so easy and gives subtle texture while still offering good definition.....and, besides, I don't trust myself to do actual machine or hand-stitching on my cards!!!  lol...  Faux stitching is the winner for me.  :)

Supplies used include:
Deer, big snowflakes, and sentiment sticker all from a goodie bag Gloria Stengel sent me a long time ago. 😍
Winnie & Walter - Essentials: Katharine Cutaways die set
Pink & Main Scallop Waves die set
Leftover Easter egg dye background on watercolor paper
Simon Says Stamp - Falling Snow stencil
Dreamweaver- Embossing Paste
Zva adhesive rhinestone swirl (partial)
Darice/Core'dinations cardstock

Hope you liked my card today. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Are you getting your cat projects ready for the Hop next week. Check out my Cat Lovers Hop Countdown Clock on my sidebar. It took me 2 hours (arrrgh..) of searching and fiddling to find a suitable widget that would work and then to get the confounded thing configured to my liking for my sidebar....SO ENJOY IT!!!! Ha!  (I could have learned how to code one myself faster than that!!! ugh...)
