God's Timing is Perfect - Friends with Flair

"His friendship is not easily won, but it is something worth having."
                                                   ------------Michael Joseph

Hi, Friends......

I'm here with a Unity Friends with Flair card.  I am so excited to get to share this card because I usually forget all about FwF until Friday....and then don't have time to make anything!  Arrgggh.

I also am entering this card in Darnell's NBUS challenge #3.  I am using a couple of gleaming stickers from another brand-new set I got at Dollar Tree.   For a buck???  Are you kidding me!??  I totally LOVE these!!!

I tried my hand at some sponging again, using Salty Ocean Distress Ink.  Then I laid down my metallic silver stickers.  (Is this Queen Anne's Lace? Looks like it to me. An Umbelliferae of some sort, at least.)

I stamped my Unity "God's Timing is Perfect.  Trust it." in Memento - Black Tuxedo ink.  What an encouraging sentiment, don't you think?  Each of us has issues and challenges in our lives that we just have to trust the Lord for.  So grateful that He is always working, even in ways that we cannot see.

Here's an angled shot to show that incredible silver gleam!!!

I finished the card by mounting the focal panel on shimmery charcoal gray cardstock and then on a ocean blue card base.

Hope you enjoyed my card!!  Thanks for all your amazing comments.  Be sure to check back or to subscribe to this post, because I try to reply to each one of them.

Have a lovely weekend!!!

  9. It's great to have you in the gallery at NBUS Challenge #3 again, Janis! You created a beautiful design with that sponging to showcase that pretty sticker! Did it have the little piece of flower falling off or did you snip a piece of as part of your design? It's cool, gives the design movement, and makes it look like a stamped image!! Enjoy the weekend! Hugs, Darnell

    1. Thank you, Darnell.....you sweetie!! The sheet of stickers had quite a variety of whole seed heads and individual little clusters and butterflies, too! I chose the two I wanted to use. I think these gleaming silver stickers are a total steal for a dollar per sheet!!! Thanks so much for stopping by with your kind words. You are amazing!!!

  22. Love this. I am going to have to check my Dollar Tree to see if they have some of these wonderful stickers. This would be great for my church card ministry and easy for our group to make.

    1. I am honored, Sue, that you like the stickers enough to maybe use them with your card ministry group. The Dollar Tree I go to has these stickers in their home/bath decor area and not in the craft area. You might have to ask at yours. Have a lovely New Year!!!

  25. Wow, this is a beauty!! Your sponging was the perfect technique to use with this delicate silhouette sticker. When I saw the first angle I thought it was a black stamped image, and then you showed us the silver gleam...so pretty! That little gray kitty charmer is too cute for words, aargh! I already saved several of your cute cat photos to my computer and have begun using one of them (Hello Kitty!) as my own icon now!! Maybe I can swap them back and forth for double and triple cuteness! Nothing like an adorable animal photo to cut the January chill!

    1. Thanks so much, Karen!!! I need to do sponging more often. I never feel like I get the gorgeous effect that others get with it, though. Keeeeeeep practicing...right?

I noticed you had the Hello Kitty icon. Great choice! So sweet!

My Shy-Cat (Chaienne, in big header photo of my blog) has been such a sweetheart to nestle with me while I've been sick and injured. They all are so sweet.....except the two young adolescent males who chase each other over and under the bed while I am trying to rest! Time for little boys to play outside! Actually it's time for hubby to do "hind-brain" surgery on them....if you know what I mean!!!
